We are seeking a detail-oriented Electro-Mechanical Assembly Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assembling electro-mechanical assemblies, ensuring quality standards, and supporting production and prototype builds.

What you'll do

  • Assemble electro-mechanical assemblies and subassemblies according to engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments.
  • Perform quality checks to ensure compliance with standards.
  • Conduct functional tests and troubleshoot assembly issues.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Collaborate with engineers and other technicians to resolve assembly issues.
  • Provide feedback and Manufacturability recommendations

What you'll need to get the job done

  • Technical Diploma or equivalent experience in electro-mechanical assembly or manufacturing.
  • Minimum 5 years of applicable work experience, ideally including collaboration with mechanical and test development designers, and providing DFMA feedback.
  • Proficiency with hand tools and power tools for mechanical assembly.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and schematics.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Understanding of mechanical fasteners, torque specifications, and alignment.
  • Experience with wiring, cable routing, and connector installation.
  • PCBA and electronics ESD and safe handling competence
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills and ability to follow written instructions.
  • Strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to quickly learn and apply new concepts, technologies and solutions
  • Ability to interface with various disciplines/functional groups
  • Team Player with strong verbal and written communication skills

What will make us REALLY love you

  • Experience providing structured Design for Manufacturability and Assembly (DFMA) assessments
  • Familiarity with SolidWorks or other CAD software
  • Experience with PDM systems and documentation practices.
  • Knowledge of IPC standards for wiring and soldering.
  • Experience in prototype builds and troubleshooting design issues.
  • Understanding of ISO quality standards or similar.
  • Ability to operate machining equipment (drill press, lathe, etc.).
  • Previous experience in automation or robotics environments.
