What we’re looking for
- 3rd year student in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering program.
- Students interested in mechanical design
- Students returning to school full-time at the completion of this intern placement
- Available for an 8 month term starting in January 2026
What you'll do
- Participate in development of cutting-edge electromechanical products
- Create mechanical designs and formal documentation
- Perform or support mechanical verification testing
- Support prototype and lab product assembly
- Maintain and enhance the mechanical lab and online mech environment
- Contribute to the overall success of the Mechanical Team
What you'll need to get the job done
- An enthusiastic interest in mechanical design across a variety of fields
- Proactivity, motivation, attention to detail
- Flexibility with ability to multi-task and learn
- Organized and efficient working habits
- Excel in a team or self-directed working environment
- Excellent communication (oral and written English)
What will make us REALLY love you
- Previous Mechanical Design work experience.
- Understanding of plastic injection molding, sheet metal, and die casting design concepts
- Experience with 3D CAD Tools (SolidWorks, CREO, Inventor/Fusion, or similar)
- Understanding of heat transfer, structural analysis and FEA/CFD simulation (SolidWorks Simulation, ANSYS, or similar)
- Experience with SolidWorks PDM
- Experience with hand tools, power tools, and electromechanical assembly
- We can see that you have a love for project-based work and staying at the top of your technical gam
