In this role, You will be responsible for developing and integrating Board Support Packages (BSP) for hardware platforms, work cross-functionally with the hardware team to solve challenging problems. You must be resourceful and able to overcome new challenges using insightful design and engineering skills coupled with innovative approaches.

What you will do

  • Integrate BSP provided by vendors into the embedded system and work on software bring-up on multiple platforms.
  • Integrate Nvidia’s UEFI Capsule update into the existing Over the Air (OTA) update mechanism.
  • Implement Jetpack 4 to Jetpack 5 upgrade in one of the exiting platforms.
  • Design, develop and test new embedded software as well as support and enhance the existing embedded software.
  • Conduct thorough testing and validation of embedded systems to ensure compliance with industry standards and specifications
  • Collaborate with hardware engineers, firmware developers, and software teams to ensure seamless integration of software and hardware components

What you will need to get the job done

  • Minimum 5 years experience in a related field and a bachelor’s degree in Computer science, Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
  • Strong C/C++ programming skills and experience with software configuration management tools such as Git.
  • Experience with building, maintaining, and deploying embedded Linux operating systems.
  • Experience with Linux board support packages (BSPs) for ARM based SoCs
  • Experience working with NVIDIA Jetson Xavier and Orin.
  • Experience with Linux device trees and device tree overlays.
  • Strong Linux fundamentals.
  • Linux device driver and bootloader experience.
  • Experience with Linux drivers for I2C, SPI, PCIe based devices.
  • Experience integrating video cameras and serdes with Linux.
  • Strong trouble-shooting, problem solving, and software debugging skills.
  • Strong communication/interpersonal skills.
  • Strong technical writing skills.
  • Knowledge of software engineering best practices and standards

What will make us REALLY love you

  • Background customizing the Linux boot process (UEFI).
  • Familiarity with NVIDIA Jetpack SDK
  • Familiarity with NVIDIA Jetson Orin Developer Kit
  • Experience in scripting tools and languages such as Python
