You Are:
A detail-oriented engineer with a passion for manufacturing excellence, you bring deep expertise in developing and industrializing robust processes for complex electronic assemblies. Your decade-long experience has equipped you to specify, optimize, and troubleshoot high-complexity SMT and system-level assemblies, balancing quality, efficiency, and cost. Comfortable collaborating across functions, you thrive in cross-disciplinary teams and act as a technical partner to Contract Manufacturers during NPI and production ramp-up. Fluent in both French and English, you communicate effectively with global teams and partners. Analytical and solutions-driven, you excel at addressing challenges, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring high standards of manufacturing performance. Experience with optical connections is a plus, and your commitment to automation, ergonomics, and scalable solutions makes you an ideal fit for this impactful role.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Define and industrialize end-to-end manufacturing processes for complex electronic products, including SMT, system assembly, test, and packaging.
- Specify SMT processes and equipment requirements for high-density, high-complexity printed circuit board assemblies (PCBAs).
- Design and deploy assembly processes integrating main PCBAs, daughter boards, cabling, and mechanical chassis for optimal performance and reliability.
- Develop automated or semi-automated manufacturing solutions to reduce human handling, improve quality, and ensure ergonomic operations.
- Ensure cost efficiency throughout process development, including estimation and tracking of equipment budgets and negotiation with vendors for cost optimization.
- Act as the technical manufacturing partner for Contract Manufacturers during both NPI and full-scale production, providing guidance and support.
- Troubleshoot manufacturing issues, lead root-cause analysis, and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate closely with teams across Design, R&D, Production, Quality, Supply Chain, and Management to drive successful project outcomes.

What You'll Need:
- Engineering degree in Manufacturing, Industrial, Electronics, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in manufacturing or process engineering for complex electronic assemblies.
- Deep expertise in SMT industrialization and electro-mechanical system assembly processes.
- Proven track record working with Contract Manufacturers, especially during NPI and production phases.
- Solid understanding of manufacturing systems, automation, quality assurance, and cost optimization techniques.
- Hands-on approach with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience with optical connections is advantageous.
- Fluency in French and English is mandatory; German language skills are a plus.
