About us

Our Silicon Design & Verification business is all about building high-performance silicon chips - faster. We’re the world’s leading provider of solutions for designing and verifying advanced silicon chips. We enable our customers to optimize their chips to eliminate months off their project schedules.

Modern IP/SoC designs pose unique challenges for the verification of large multi-core processor subsystems. There is a growing need to further advance test-generation technologies, such that test sequences are not only correct-by-construction, but they cover the immense state space of the system design and able to apply a directed stress on the design to accelerate the detection of deep u-arch defects.

Synopsys is uniquely positioned in this space to drive innovation and build leading solutions across the industry.

About the role

In this role you will be a key member of a fast-growing team of engineers working with top HPC chip makers on the test-generation technologies and innovative solutions in the domain of CPU and System verification. Collaborate with verification experts to develop test IP libraries and to deploy Synopsys’ test-generation technologies at the leading semiconductor design companies. Working from Synopsys Haifa office and at customer sites in Israel.

Key responsibilities

  • Work as part of R&D on the development and adoption of Synopsys’ test-generation solutions
  • Work jointly with customers to specify, develop and deploy test libraries for the verification of customer’s CPU/SoC ARM-based designs

Key Qualifications

  • Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering
  • Hands-on experience (3 years or more) in verification of CPU/SoC designs, specifically on emulation/fpga platforms and post-silicon (testing, debugging and working with design teams to identify and eliminate hardware defects)
  • Understanding EDA flows and solutions development
  • Effective teamwork and excellent communication with global teams and 3rd parties

Preferred Experience

  • Knowledge of ARM CPU architecture and peripheral IPs
  • Experience in low level software programing (Assembly, C, embedded, kernel, OS)
  • Development of test-generation tools
