This role is a trusted HR partner to managers and employees, providing guidance on HR policies, processes, and compliance while supporting business growth and transformation.
The People Consultant is responsible for HR foundational processes, escalations from Shared Services Team (Tier-3), risk mitigation, talent management processes, ensuring a smooth and effective employee experience. You will work closely with People Partners, Legal, Talent, Shared Services, and Business Leaders to drive operational efficiency and business impact.
Key Responsibilities
1. HR Service Excellence & Complex Country Escalation Management
- Act as a trusted advisor, offering clear, timely, and accurate HR advice to employees, managers and leadership on policies, processes and best practice.
- Partner with Shared Services Team to continuously assess and improve HR service delivery by identifying pain points, streamlining processes, and leveraging HR technologies to enhance efficiency and employee experience.
- Investigating patterns and root causes of recurring issues, collaborating with People Partners and Centre of Excellence (CoEs) to implement long term solutions.
2. Employee Relations, Labor Relations & Compliance
- Participating in disciplinary processes, ensuring compliance with labor laws and company policies in partnership with ER.
- Partner with ER and People Partners for involuntary terminations related to performance or disciplinary actions, working closely with managers and legal teams to mitigate risks. (grade dependent)
- Assist with Reduction in Force (RIF) processes, in collaboration with the People Partners, ER and legal. Local business leaders to execute strategic workforce transitions, including negotiations.
- Operationalization of changes in labor law, as advised by employment legal team.
3. Organizational Consulting
- Support business transformation efforts, including workforce planning, site strategy discussions, and change management,
- Partner with People Partners, site leaders to drive HR initiatives, including employee engagement actions from Shape Survey results.
4. Data Analytics & Reporting
- Use Vizier and EC tools to analyze workforce trends (e.g., retention, hiring, turnover, compensation, market movement) in conjunction with CoE.
- Provide data-driven insights to support regional people partners in decision-making.
- Conduct regular reporting and analysis to identify proactive HR actions for employee retention, performance management, and workforce optimization in conjunction with CoE.
5. Employee Integration
- Lead manager integration programs, including orientation sessions, follow-ups, and coaching to help new leaders transition successfully (grade dependent).
- Support M&A activities: employment changes, new country set up/shutdown in cooperation with M&A team and Legal,
- Support post-acquisition employee integration, ensuring a smooth cultural and operational transition for acquired teams.
- Conduct orientation sessions for new site leads.
6. Employee Retention & Exit Management
- Conduct exit interviews and analyze exit survey data to identify trends and drive proactive retention strategies,
- Partner with the regional people partner to create targeted retention plans, including counteroffers where applicable (grade dependent).
7. Talent Development & Performance Management
- Partner with Talent CoE to deliver HR training and leadership sessions in the region,
- Organize and facilitate manager forums (both virtual and in-person) on critical People topics,
- Support performance management processes, including coaching managers on informal and formal performance improvement plans (grade dependent).
