You are an experienced and innovative analog design engineer with a passion for pushing the boundaries of high-speed circuit design. Your extensive background in developing Multi-Gbps NRZ & PAM4 SERDES IP makes you a valuable asset to any team. You thrive in a collaborative environment, working alongside a diverse group of analog and digital designers, and you are always eager to tackle new challenges. Your technical proficiency is matched by your excellent communication and presentation skills, allowing you to effectively share your insights and results with both internal teams and external stakeholders. You are detail-oriented, highly analytical, and committed to delivering high-quality designs that meet and exceed performance targets.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Reviewing SerDes standards to develop novel transceiver architectures and sub-block specifications.
  • Investigating and developing circuit architectures that address architectural bottlenecks and lead to revolutionary improvements in power, area, and performance targets.
  • Collaborating across project and department teams to streamline design and verification strategies and ensure overall design quality, efficiency, and performance.
  • Overseeing physical layout to minimize the effect of parasitics, device stress, and process variation.
  • Presenting and reviewing simulation data from internal project teams, and presenting results externally at industry panels or customer reviews.
  • Documenting design features and test plans, consulting on the overall electrical characterization of the SerDes IP product, analyzing customer silicon data for design enhancements, and proposing solutions for post-silicon design updates.

The Impact You Will Have:

  • Driving the innovation of high-speed analog integrated circuits in the latest FinFET process nodes.
  • Contributing to the development of cutting-edge SERDES IP that enhances the performance and efficiency of our products.
  • Ensuring the successful execution of design strategies that meet stringent power, area, and performance targets.
  • Improving the overall design quality and efficiency through collaborative efforts with cross-functional teams.
  • Enhancing customer satisfaction by delivering high-quality designs and effective post-silicon solutions.
  • Advancing the field of analog design through contributions to industry panels and external reviews.

What You’ll Need:

  • PhD with 10+ years, or MSc with 12+ years of practical analog IC design experience; degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or other relevant fields of study.
  • Experience with FinFET technologies.
  • Extensive design experience with sub-circuits relevant to SerDes, including receive equalizers (CTLE, DFE, FFE), DAC-based transmitters, ADC-based receivers, DSP equalization, high-speed clocking circuits (PLL, VCO, DLL, phase interpolator), ADCs, and DACs.
  • In-depth familiarity with transistor-level circuit design and CMOS tape-outs.
  • Knowledge of SerDes, circuit, and fabrication issues that directly impact customer use-cases.

Who You Are:

  • Detail-oriented and highly analytical with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality designs.
  • A collaborative team player with excellent communication, presentation, and documentation skills.
  • A proactive problem-solver with the ability to identify and address potential design challenges.
  • Adaptable and open to learning new techniques and technologies to stay ahead in the field.
  • Passionate about innovation and continuous improvement in analog design.

The Team You’ll Be A Part Of:

You will be part of a fast-growing analog and mixed-signal R&D team developing high-speed analog integrated circuits in the latest FinFET process nodes. Our environment is best in class, with a full suite of IC design tools supplemented by custom, in-house tools supported by an experienced software/CAD team. You will work with a cross-functional design team of analog and digital designers from a wide variety of backgrounds, all committed to pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in analog design.

Rewards and Benefits:

We offer a comprehensive range of health, wellness, and financial benefits to cater to your needs. Our total rewards include both monetary and non-monetary offerings. Your recruiter will provide more details about the salary range and benefits during the hiring process.
