Sr Staff R&D Engineer

Synopsys's Circuit Simulation R&D group is looking for a Senior Staff R&D Engineer to work on our next generation transistor level signoff solution. This is a unique opportunity to work with a global team developing software to ensure robustness and integrity of cutting-edge integrated circuits.

Job Description and Responsibilities

Responsible for designing, developing, troubleshooting, and debugging EDA software programs. You will develop software tools to interact with analog design tools, operating systems, networks, utilities, databases, internet-related tools, etc. Experience on development of complex software projects, familiarity with C/C++ coding and Python, and a sound background in data structures and implementation. Has sound desire to learn and explore new technologies and demonstrates good analysis and problem-solving skills.

Work is independent and collaborative with team in nature. Familiar with software development process and software quality tools are required.

Requirements

• Educational Qualification: BTech/MTech/MS/Ph.D. in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or Computer Science
• 7+ years of work experience on complex software, sound programming skills in C/C++, and scripting languages such as Python, Tcl, and Linux shell
• Sound knowledge of data structures and algorithms
• Knowledge and experience with distributed processing
• Knowledge or working experience in circuit simulation and device modeling, or other related EDA areas is a plus.
• Ability to work as part of global team, collaborating tightly with peers across multiple locations and groups.
• Willing to learn and explore new technologies and skills
