You Are:

You are a seasoned professional with 5-7 years of experience in a high-growth software company or a public accounting firm. You possess an exceptional attention-to-detail and a high proficiency in Excel. Your communication skills are top-notch, enabling you to effectively liaise with various internal groups. You have a deep understanding of ASC 606 revenue recognition and are well-versed in the use of Salesforce and SAP RAR. A Chartered Accountant or an MBA in Finance is highly desirable. Your dedication to maintaining accurate documentation and providing outstanding customer service sets you apart. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and are known for your exceptional work ethic and ability to manage time effectively.

What You will Be Doing:

  • Reviewing and analyzing customer contracts to ensure revenue is recorded in compliance with Synopsys’s revenue recognition policy and accounting literature.
  • Communicating with internal groups such as Order Management, Sales, Legal, Credit & Collections, and Professional Services to gather relevant information.
  • Ensuring revenue transactions comply with the Company’s business practices, including future pricing/material rights, cancellation clauses, and contracts with non-standard terms.
  • Assisting in the preparation of SSP study, revenue audit packages for quarterly and year-end audits.
  • Providing guidance and suggesting improvements to the Company’s Order-to-Cash and revenue recognition processes.
  • Supporting Sales during high volume periods at month-end and year-end.
  • Approving revenue recognition in Salesforce.com opportunities.
  • Maintaining thorough and accurate documentation in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices.
  • Interfacing with functional departments with a customer service approach regarding all aspects of responsibilities.
  • Supporting the Revenue Accounting Manager with special projects and process improvements.

What You will Need:

  • 5-7 years of experience in a public accounting firm or a high-growth software company.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; Chartered Accountant or Finance MBA is desirable.
  • In-depth knowledge of ASC 606 Revenue Recognition.
  • Proficiency in Salesforce and SAP RAR.
  • Excellent communication skills, attention-to-detail, and time-management skills.
  • Proficiency in Excel functions such as VLOOKUP, SUMIF, Pivot tables, and IF statements.
  • Exceptional work ethic and customer service skills.

You will be part of the Revenue Accounting team, a group of dedicated professionals responsible for ensuring the accuracy and compliance of revenue recognition processes. This team works closely with Sales, Contracts, Order Administration, and External Auditors to uphold Synopsys’s high standards of financial integrity and operational efficiency.
