You Are:

An experienced and dynamic software engineer with a passion for physical design and place and route processes. You have a strong background in electrical engineering or computer science, coupled with significant hands-on experience in using IC Compiler I/II, Fusion Compiler, or similar EDA tools. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with both internal teams and external partners to drive technological advancements. Your expertise in scripting languages such as Perl and Tcl, along with your in-depth understanding of ASIC design flow, VLSI, and CAD development, makes you an invaluable asset to our team. Your excellent communication skills and ability to network effectively with senior personnel set you apart as a leader and innovator in the field.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Developing and deploying physical design flows and solutions for IC Compiler II and Fusion Compiler.
  • Interfacing with major foundries and R&D teams to ensure successful tool implementation.
  • Enabling customer flows and deploying implementation solutions for key foundries.
  • Collaborating with R&D to define product direction and tool capabilities for next-generation process nodes.
  • Providing technical support and guidance to customers, ensuring optimal use of our tools.
  • Continuously improving and updating design methodologies to keep pace with industry advancements.

What You’ll Need:

  • BS/MS in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science with 3+ years of relevant experience.
  • Strong physical design and place and route experience.
  • Proficiency with IC Compiler I/II, Fusion Compiler, or competitive EDA tools.
  • Knowledge of advanced placement and routing rules.
  • Expertise in scripting languages such as Perl and Tcl.
  • Strong understanding of ASIC design flow, VLSI, and/or CAD development.
  • Excellent communication skills and command of English.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to network with senior personnel.
