About the Role:
We have an exciting opportunity to support our Technology team as a Senior Director, Payments Services based in Miami, FL. The Senior Director Payment Services provides strategic leadership and oversight for all payment operations, ensuring secure, efficient, and innovative solutions. This role drives payment strategy, compliance, and technology integration to deliver exceptional franchisee, customer and partner experiences.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Define and execute the organization’s payment services strategy, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives and regulatory requirements.
- Direct all payment operations and emerging payment technologies, while maintaining high standards of accuracy and efficiency, including resolution of ACH, wire transfers, card processing issues.
- Ensure adherence to all applicable regulations (e.g., PCI DSS, NACHA, AML/BSA) and implement robust fraud prevention and risk mitigation strategies.
- Negotiate and manage relationships with payment processors, technology providers, and financial institutions to optimize service delivery and cost efficiency.
- Drive adoption of new payment technologies, such as real-time payments and digital assets, and oversee system upgrades to enhance customer experience and operational resilience
- Oversee P&L for the payment services division, monitor revenue targets, and implement margin optimization strategies.
Qualifications (some examples listed below):
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, or related field required.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in payment services, financial operations, or revenue cycle management, with at least 5 years in senior leadership roles.
- Proven track record of P&L ownership, strategic planning, and scaling payment operations.
- Deep understanding of payment ecosystems, including ACH, wire transfers, card networks, real-time payments (RTP), and emerging technologies
- Experience managing vendor relationships and negotiating contracts with payment processors and technology providers.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements (e.g., BSA/AML, Reg E, PCI DSS).
- Familiarity with fraud prevention, risk mitigation strategies, and data security standards.
- Proficiency in payment technology platforms, data analytics tools, and automation solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive organizational change.
- Exceptional strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Able to multi-task, prioritize workload and comfortable working within a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills, detail oriented
- Interpersonal, relationship-building and networking skills with a self-motivated attitude to work.
- Language requirements: Fluent in English – any additional language a plus.
