About the Role:

We have an exciting opportunity to support our Analytics and Strategy team as a Manager, Digital Analytics based in the Netherlands. Your role will support Digital Initiatives (e.g. the roll out of Kiosks), digital sales channel performance (e.g.3rd party delivery sales channel, mobile order), as well as loyalty performance. Your role will partner with the digital marketing and digital operations, you will be responsible for ensuring these functions and their senior stakeholders have high quality, robust data to make decisions, as well as plan and execute strategy. With prior experience in data analytics, you will play a critical role in the region working with business functions, key stakeholders across countries to ensure data accuracy, identify trends and patterns, and ultimately drive business change through actionable insight and evidence-based recommendations.

Note: The role is focused on transactional level data (e.g. point of sales data, basket analysis), not digital analytics (e.g. customer journey data, app user tracking).

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Advises on the set up of digital initiatives trials, assesses the success of tests and presents compelling recommendations
  • Support the overall success metrics of the Digital function across our priority EMEA markets, through ongoing performance tracking and deep-dive analysis of key business initiatives. Including creating/improving reports
  • Interprets data to identify business trends, conducts root cause analysis of business problems, or suggests areas for process improvement.
  • Aggregates and performs analysis on a wide range of data, based on requests from key stakeholders and wider project teams.
  • Works closely with all major regional third-party delivery providers (Just Eat, Uber Eats, Deliveroo etc.) to source new data, enhance reporting and develop analytical processes, to optimise performance through these growth channels
  • Business partner to the digital, operations and marketing teams, assisting with the scoping and development of material for quarterly/annual business reviews, and contributes directly within the sessions themselves through presenting and knowledge sharing
  • Drives improved data literacy and self-service reporting across the business by providing guidance and coaching on data analysis tools and software to internal customers
  • Data quality control: identify any issues with data integrity and proactively work with the relevant internal teams to suggest and implement a fix
  • Contribute to Analytics team for best practice sharing and development of wider function

Qualifications (some examples listed below):

  • Degree in relevant subject (Economics, Maths, Computer Science or similar).
  • Must have 5+ years of experience in data management and analytics, using data insights to drive business recommendations.
  • Highly proficient in PowerPoint / Excel.
  • Proficiency with a data visualisation platform (Tableau or PowerBI).
  • Significant experience using SQL to query relational databases and transactional data.
  • Significant in a programming language (R or Python)
  • Experienced in stakeholder management, strong ability to self organise and work independently with minimal need for supervision.
  • Strong communicator and influencing skills with proven track-record of driving through winning recommendations.
  • Ability to explain/present complicated/advanced analytical methodology and results to non-technical audiences.
  • Strong business acumen and understanding of how analytics impacts overall business performance
  • English is a must; German is a plus
