About the Role:

We have an exciting opportunity to support our Technology team as a Cloud Engineer based in Shelton, CT. This position is responsible for implementing new CDN / DNS / SSL configurations and supporting existing implementations. The engineer will work with development and InfoSec teams to ensure that best practices are implemented and that all web properties are secure and maximize uptime. Manage SSL tracking and automation tools to ensure that all certificates are replaced in a timely manner.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Implement Infrastructure internal projects (DNS / SSL vendor migrations, AppViewX, etc).
  • Audit existing configurations Akamai and implement best practices, convert to IaaC.
  • Manage / replace SSL certificates.
  • Create Akamai properties to support new projects.
  • Create and manage internal / external DNS entries.

Qualifications:

  • BS in Technology, Cloud Engineering, Networking, Server management or Technical Certification Equivalent (preferred).
  • 5 – 8 years of experience configuring Akamai properties (CDN, WAF, DNS, Image manager, cloudlets, etc.).
  • Akamai IaaC experience preferred.
  • Experience managing DNS in Akamai or other DNS providers.
  • Experience managing SSL certificates across multiple technologies (AWS, Azure, Windows).
  • Familiarity with SSL management tools and automation, AppViewX preferred.
  • Working knowledge of IIS, Azure & AWS load balancers and gateways.
