About the Role:
The Senior Marketing Manager touches on all functions of the Marketing spectrum. Reporting to the Head of Brand Marketing, this role specializes in developing and executing marketing plans, product launches, promotions, and all media related to marketing campaigns for Subway. The role also assists by defining competitive market requirements and opportunities and provides ongoing marketing support that ensures the competitiveness of the brand in market. This role also contributes and manages the marketing budget with the Head of Marketing and Business Analyst.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Collaborates with the Head of Brand Marketing, then directs the development of company market requirements (with their direct reports) for all marketing campaigns in restaurant and in media, to address specific product(s) or product line(s) launches, value offers and promotions and brand campaigns using previous analysis, customer research and trend reports.
  • Partner closely with internal teams and agencies to ensure our creative ideas and campaigns make most effective use of an integrated mix of owned, earned and paid channels, and are deployed via innovative, targeted media and technology.
  • Monitors the development of business plans, assesses market penetration, and product positioning to drive competitive advantage, revenue and market share. Reduces broad concepts and business strategies into structured product marketing plans. Analyze and report on the performance and ROI of marketing campaigns and activities, using various metrics and tools.
  • Works with Operations and Legal to ensure correct implementation and execution across all Subway ANZ restaurants.
  • Works with Culinary & Innovation on new product definition and business plans with joint departments. Also works with Insights and Culinary & Innovation on meeting deadlines, product claims, market research, monitoring competitive activity, and identifying customer needs and trends.

Skills and Abilities Required:

  • Able to manage and maintain budget responsibilities.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal and written skills as well as proven ability to develop well-written documents and eloquently present.
  • Well organized and detail oriented.
  • Immensely collaborative spirit with high emotional intelligence, and open to helping with any task.
  • Ability to work under pressure and deadlines.
  • Ability to manage projects, multi-task, and remain positive/flexible in a fast-paced environment.
  • Be able to demonstrate a track record of delivering results and driving growth through innovative and data-driven marketing initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, majoring in marketing of advertising
  • Minimum of 10+ years of experience working in a generalist marketing role across multiple markets.
    • 2+ years supervisory experience; managing a team of people to deliver campaigns and media spend.
  • Technical Proficiencies: Microsoft Office Suite programs: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
  • Able to multi-task, prioritize workload and comfortable working within a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills, detail oriented
  • An ability to cultivate and build collaborative working relationships with a broad range of cross-functional stakeholders
