Overview:

We are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated sales person who has sales experience in the Desktop and IT domains, to join our Sales team and be part of the exciting future this organisation faces. You will be working with experienced Account Managers who will guide and mentor you in your speedy development to owning your own key accounts and becoming a strategic player within the company.

Main Purpose:

The Sales Manager is responsible for creating and delivering the sales strategy for assigned accounts, delivering the Annual Order Intake targets. You will be responsible for producing annual forecast and the annual Account Plan for each account. Additionally, this position is responsible for maintaining the reputation and profile of Emcon in the Canadian federal market.

Financial and Business responsibilities:

Develop robust sales strategies, tactics and capture plans to support order intake and gross margin targets.

Prepare the necessary material for the Emcon bids and proposals process.

Deliver the order intake and gross margin for each assigned account.

Update the CRM for all prospects & opportunities within the assigned accounts.

Develop and maintain an accurate monthly funnel and forecast.

Process new bids as per Emcon Bids and Proposals Process.

Provide Sales input and direction to company S&OP process.

Must be able to negotiate and set Price-to-Win for opportunities

Customer & Capture Plan Responsibilities

Operate effectively in both domestic and export markets.

Conduct regular visits with all assigned customers.

Develop and maintain relationships with key customers, in particular a demonstrated ability to engage successfully up to VP level.

Demonstrate excellent negotiation, presentation, organisational and multi-tasking skills

Enforce and oversee the Capture Plan policy for key opportunities including key win themes, contact plans, competitive information and key activities to secure orders in a timely manner.

Be able to identify and capture new prospects and accounts

Ability to present the value of a solution from both a business and technical perspective

PERSON SPECIFICATION

Job Title:

Sales and Business Development Manager

Education/Experience:

Previous experience as a Sales Manager or Sales Engineer selling IT solutions.

Have excellent communication and 'people skills’.

An ethical and moral attitude to selling. Must be able to represent the customer to Emcon

Exhibit exceptional planning, presentation and organisational skills.

Act as an ambassador and role model for Emcon

Key Competencies:

Must have strong working knowledge of IT, communications, desktop, VoIP/VTC, security, or cyber system.

Strong Technical & Solutions Selling Skills

Experience in selling system solutions that demonstrates technical competence

Ideal candidate has an understanding of the Canadian Government procurement processes.

Work experience in a sales or Sales engineering role for 5-10 years.

Travel Requirements

Periodic domestic and international travel

SPECIAL FEATURES FOR THIS POSITION

This position is based out of our Kanata office.

Ideally hold a minimum of Secret clearance on arrival

Holds a driving license

UK & International travel will be required
