This Digital Engineering Co-Op will be part of a multidisciplinary systems design team. Team performs complete system level product development, including embedded command and control, RF, and power systems. This position will allow the individual to expand their skills as they provide crucial support to the design, development, and manufacturing of systems for use in commercial and military and aerospace products.
Duties:
- Provide day to day support for design and test engineering teams by assisting with evaluating prototypes and evaluation hardware, as well as various software platforms
- Support including the design, analysis, and debug of hardware systems (Digital, analog, RF, and power), embedded firmware (FPGA and MCU), and software (C, C#, LabVIEW, Python)
- Perform duties in simulation and hardware
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of post- high school education in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science.
- Working knowledge of basic electronics (voltage, current, ohms law)
- Recommended Completed Courses:
- Electronics
- Digital Circuits
- Procedural Programming language, such as C
- Script Based Programming, such as Python
- Experience working in a team-based environment
- Demonstrable ability to troubleshoot and solve technical problems
Skills(preferred):
- Familiarity with a programming language such as Python, LabVIEW, C# or equivalent
- Experience with FPGA Design and HDL languages (Verilog/ VHDL)
- Familiarity with lab hardware such as oscilloscopes, signal generators, multimeters, etc.
- Familiarity with basic computer systems and business software
- Ability to read and interpret electronic schematics and block diagrams
- Ability to communicate effectively with engineering team, operations, and customers
