The Senior RF Engineer leads a multidisciplinary design team that performs complete system level product development including embedded command and control, RF, and power systems. This position provides leadership and project management to the integration of the design, development, and manufacturing of systems for use in commercial and military and aerospace products.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Design and lead the development of RF components and integrated products covering frequency ranges from DC to 40 GHz and average power levels up to 100 W.
  • Experience with RF components and systems comprised of amplifiers, mixers, filters, couplers, equalizers, bias tees, attenuators, phase shifters, etc.
  • Develop and document compliance and test matrices based on customer specifications.
  • Model, design, simulate, assemble and test prototypes, and perform data analysis to ensure compliance with product specifications.
  • Lead hands on, technical troubleshooting efforts to resolve performance issues.
  • Create or assist in documenting engineering drawings, Bill of Materials, and accompanying drawing packages for new / existing product, procedures, or tooling / fixtures.
  • Assist Sales, Manufacturing Engineering, Production, and Quality departments in resolving product issues, complaints, waiver requests, and in answering customer inquiries.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • BS degree in Electrical Engineering or related field, with 7+ years of experience OR MS degree in Electrical Engineering or related field, and 5 years of experience.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required. Ability to obtain a US Security Clearance (Secret Level) Desired
  • Knowledge of RF and Microwave principles.
  • Ability to perform calculations, measurements, analysis, and reporting as needed to create custom RF solutions.
  • Experience in use of various test instruments, with emphasis on RF testing including use of network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, power meters, power supplies, DMMs, etc. Ability to automate test equipment is a plus.
  • Experience using RF tools such as ADS or Microwave Office or EM tools like HFSS or CST.
  • Proficiency in office software such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint as required.
  • Familiarity with CAD systems such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or equivalent.
  • Experience with modern manufacturing methods and electrical/ electronic assembly.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • This is an on-site position within a manufacturing facility.
