JOB SUMMARY:
The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for meeting or exceeding the territory’s orders budget, discovering and closing new opportunities and customers, while cultivating relationships and assessing customer needs. The Regional Sales Manager is also responsible for taking customers through the sales process working with the appropriate product line personnel to capture the business. Additionally, this position is responsible for presenting further business opportunities with current customers and supporting existing business. The Regional Sales Manager will work closely with the Area Sales Director, Business Development, the territory’s sales representatives, authorized distributors and factory personnel to develop a sales funnel to position the region to meet corporate growth goals. The Regional Sales Manager will be required to sell all Spectrum Control products.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Fully responsible for growing bookings in the assigned territory through expanding opportunities at existing customers/programs and identifying and closing new Design Wins in the Aerospace & Defence, Space, Wireless/Telecom and Industrial segments.
- Lead and drive the Go to Market initiatives in assigned territory in order to develop a deep pipeline of bookings and design wins to support the business long term.
- Develop, implement & maintain a growth oriented profitable customer base that is supportive of the company direction.
- Keep current programs sold. Understand the territory’s customers, competitors, markets and SCL's capabilities to target new opportunities. Obtain customer and industry feedback for new product idea generation.
- Generate opportunity capture plans, coordinated with product line managers and Business Development, to include strategies increasing the win probability of significant opportunities.
- Actively participate in Industry Days and other conferences.
- Develop strong working relationships with customers, representatives and product line personnel to facilitate the capture of new opportunities
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in a relevant field
- Previous Sales Management experience in an environment of complex solution sales of related technology
- Defence, Space, Wireless/Telecom, Industrial sector experience
- Sales Experience related to RF/Microwave applications.

- Proven success in driving profitable growth in complex technology businesses in a consistent & effective manner.
- Detailed & excellent follow up skills to provide the necessary follow up actions on open opportunities & issues.
- Ability to close on tasks and work with a sense of passion and urgency to meet deadlines.
- Strong technical and communications skills - able to sell the virtues of our technology/solutions to the customer while understanding and avoiding undue risk.
- Good commercial and contractual understanding with the ability to negotiate “win-win” deals.
- Ability to develop strong working relationships with customers, partners and BU personnel to facilitate the capture of new opportunities as well as provide SCL with technology/product trends for innovation.
- Ability to multitask and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Proficient with CRM platforms and usage
- Ability to travel a minimum of 50%
OTHER:
- This is a remote position - located in the assigned territory - with regular travel.
