The Benefits Analyst plays a critical role in managing and optimizing employee benefits programs, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing data-driven insights to enhance total rewards strategies. This position focuses on benefits analytics, financial modeling, and reporting to support strategic decision-making and cost-management initiatives.

Here’s where you’ll be focusing:

  • Data Insights & Reporting: Analyze benefits utilization, costs, and trends, providing in-depth reporting and recommendations for cost containment, plan optimization, and competitive benchmarking
  • Predictive Analytics: Utilize data modeling techniques to forecast future benefits costs, assess plan sustainability, and support long-term strategy development
  • Compliance & Governance: Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements (e.g., CRA, provincial employment standards, pension legislation) and support reporting for compliance audits
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with Finance, HR, and external consultants to interpret benefits data and provide strategic insights for decision-making
  • Plan Design & Evaluation: Support the development of benefits strategies by researching market trends, assessing plan effectiveness, and assisting with renewal negotiations
  • Flexible Credits: Contribute to the design and evaluation of flexible benefits and health spending accounts
  • Technology & Process Enhancements: Leverage HR systems and analytics tools to improve reporting efficiency and streamline benefits-related insights
  • Communications: Develop reports, dashboards, and presentations to communicate benefits trends and financial impacts to leadership and employees

What you have to offer:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, Data Analytics, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in benefits analytics, HR reporting, or total rewards
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret and communicate data effectively
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, HRIS reporting tools, and data visualization platforms (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)
  • Familiarity with Canadian benefits regulations and compliance requirements
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to present data insights clearly

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CEBS, CHRP, or a related certification is an asset
  • Experience working with predictive modeling or benefits cost-containment strategies
  • Knowledge of emerging trends in total rewards and HR analytics
