Sobeys offers a variety of exciting opportunities, and we are continually seeking talented individuals to join our growing Talent Acquisition team! We have an opening for a Talent Acquisition Specialist within our Supply Chain team. This role will involve supporting recruitment initiatives and playing a vital part in maintaining and enhancing our hiring data, team KPIs, and dashboards.
Here’s where you’ll be focusing:
Recruitment Support & Coordination
- Support the full recruitment lifecycle in collaboration with recruiters and hiring managers.
- Post job advertisements, schedule interviews, manage candidate communications, and support onboarding activities.
- Ensure a consistent and high-quality candidate experience across all touchpoints.
- Monitor external job postings to ensure alignment with brand standards and messaging.
- Support recruitment programs and national initiatives, identifying areas for continuous improvement in service delivery.
Data & KPI Management
- Maintain and regularly update the team’s hiring dashboards and KPI trackers to ensure accuracy and transparency.
- Track key recruitment metrics (time to fill, source of hire, candidate pipeline stages, etc.) and flag inconsistencies or trends.
- Collaborate with the Talent Acquisition Manager to improve existing dashboards and implement new ways to visualize team performance.
- Assist in preparing data reports for stakeholders and leadership, contributing to data-driven recruitment strategies.
Sourcing & Talent Pipeline Development
- Source and pre-screene candidates using ATS, LinkedIn, Indeed, and referrals.
- Help develop and manage talent pipelines to meet current and future hiring needs.
- Stay current with new sourcing strategies and bring innovative ideas to improve outreach and diversity in hiring.
Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
- Cultivate strong relationships with recruiters, hiring managers, and HR Business Partners.
- Engage in team meetings and contribute to planning, coordination, and process improvements.
- Identify opportunities within TA operations and present recommendations.
What you'll bring:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience: 1–2 years in talent acquisition, including full-cycle recruitment and HR coordination in a fast-paced environment.
- Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint is required; experience with dashboards and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI or Tableau) is a plus. Familiarity with ATS platforms such as SuccessFactors and Indeed is an asset.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills in both English and French are preferred to support national collaboration.
- Organization: Excellent organizational and time management skills, keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Industry Knowledge: Experience in retail is a significant asset.
- Team Player: Positive, collaborative, and service-oriented attitude.
- Curiosity & Initiative: Proactive in learning new systems and improving current processes.
