We currently have an opportunity for a Senior Specialist - Solutions Deployment to join our Technology department. This role can be based out of one our main offices in Stellarton, NS; Mississauga, ON; or Calgary, AB.

Here’s where you’ll be focusing:

As a Senior Deployment Analyst with Sobeys, you will:

  • Coordinate and execute the deployments for external and in-house built applications.
  • Collaborate with solution teams, vendors, and stakeholders to define deployment schedules, troubleshoot issues, and optimize deployment processes, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
  • Work closely with the technical lead and fellow teammates to understand work in progress and plan for the progression of each deliverable to production.
  • Review and sign off on product documentation including bulletins and release notes.
  • Analyze and optimize deployment processes to improve efficiency, reliability, and scalability.
  • Ensure deployments comply with organizational standards (i.e. Change Advisory Board procedures), data protection regulations, and security protocols.

What you have to offer:

Skills and Experience Requirements:

  • Undergraduate degree or college diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related IT area.
  • 5+ years experience in application support, enhancements, and delivery.
  • Experience working with service providers and vendor management.
  • Experience building SCCM packages and with PowerShell scripting recommended.
  • Strong technical knowledge and aptitude with a Point-of-Sale Systems an asset.
  • Retail and/or grocery industry experience are preferred.
