Position Summary
If you are a motivated student with skills and interest in radio frequency integrated circuit design (RFIC), Skyworks Cedar Rapids Design Center is looking for you! As a home to an elite team of RF professionals you will work side by side with a mentor and grow your skills working on real products that will end up in the next generation of cellular phones. Cedar Rapids, IA is a vibrant city with low traffic, low cost of living, quality schools, but plenty to do in the form of great restaurants, sports, live music, theatre, hiking, biking and more! Job Responsibilities
• Work with the aid of a stereo microscope and tools for handling small components
• Tasks will include solder assembly of connectors, SMTs, and custom modules
• Manual picking and placing of semiconductor die and small passive components
• Varies connector soldering
• Equipment operation and maintenance of precision machines
• New material evaluation
• Part kitting and inventory control
• Positive, can-do attitude
• Will need to work closely with prototype team to share and complete tasks as a dynamic team member
Qualifications
• Experience with computers using Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
• Proficient using hand tools such as tweezers, soldering irons, component placement, and custom microelectronics assembly
• Experience working from engineering drawings and markups, understanding of handling ESD sensitive electronic components, and experience working with the aid of a microscope
• Experience with operation of automated and semi-automated electronics assembly equipment and some preventative maintenance of this equipment
• Associate’s Degree in Electronics or equivalent years of related work experience
The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is currently USD $22.88 - $40.00 per hour. Starting base pay will depend on relevant experience and skills, training and education, business needs, market demands, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location. Skyworks has different base pay ranges for different work locations in the U.S. Benefits include access to healthcare benefits (including a premium-free medical plan option), a 401(k) plan and company match, an employee stock purchase plan, paid time off (including vacation, sick/wellness, parental leave), among others.
