Position Overview
Join our GNSS team for a hands-on summer internship where you’ll work at the intersection of field data collection and engineering analysis. As a Geomatics Intern, you’ll support real-world testing of GNSS receivers and antennas—participating in field measurement campaigns, analyzing performance data, and contributing to technical reporting.
This is a 4-month summer student role starting in May, ideal for someone who enjoys both outdoor fieldwork and analytical problem-solving.
Responsibilities
- Support field measurement campaigns using GNSS receivers and antenna systems
- Collect, organize, and maintain accurate survey and test data
- Assist with data processing, analysis, and performance evaluation of GNSS equipment
- Contribute to technical reports, summaries, and documentation
- Help coordinate and prepare for field testing activities
- Support basic software testing and debugging related to data collection tools
- Monitor data quality and flag inconsistencies or issues
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s program in Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or a related field
- Strong interest in GNSS, positioning systems, or geospatial technologies
- Solid analytical and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable working with data, calculations, and technical concepts
- Experience with engineering or geospatial software is an asset
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Additional Requirements
- Experience with GNSS equipment, surveying, or field data collection
- Familiarity with data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, MATLAB, Python, or similar)
- Exposure to software testing or debugging
Compensation
$20.00 – $28.74/hour
