Calian is hiring for staffing coordinators to support the scheduling activities for our client based in Ottawa.
We are looking for coordinators to work afterhours and weekends on standby.
This is a remote work from home opportunity.
Position Overview
The Staffing Coordinator is responsible for scheduling Health Care Providers (HCPs) for various contracts and clients. This is a key role in ensuring we are fulfilling the needs of the programs, contracts and clients.
The Staffing Coordinator will frequently use an electronic program to upload staffing requests, schedule shifts, and update HCPs files.
Responsibilities
- Scheduling HCP visits for hospital, long-term care facility or private sector, as required.
- Communicate with HCPs on availability and monitor credentials to ensure they are kept active and up to date.
- Use electronic program for scheduling requests.
- Support other programs with scheduling and reach out to HCPs for scheduling needs.
- Provide support to HCPs where needed.
- Providing orientation for new hires.
- Collect, process and track bi-weekly hours and timesheets for the active HCPs.
- Monitor HCP availability and communication to ensure staffing requests are supported.
- Fulfil other duties as required to support organization.
Qualifications
- High School, College, or University degree.
- 1-3 years’ experience in customer service and administration.
Additional Requirements
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) in both English and French.
- Must possess mobility to work in an office environment and use standard office equipment.
- Requires mental stamina to maintain attention to detail despite interruptions and vision to read printed materials and computer screen.
- Must be able to travel up to 10% of the time, including weekends or overnight, and to work extended hours to support operational requirements
Compensation
$125 per shift stipend weeknights plus $2/fill during shift
$625 per weekend stipend plus $2/fill during shift
