About the role:
We are looking for a skilled and motivated software engineer to join our integrated meshing development team. This role focuses on developing advanced solutions for moving mesh generation and mesh modification in STAR-CCM+, creating framework-related components supporting multi-disciplinary simulations including solid stress models.
What you’ll be doing:
Design and implement innovative software solutions for dynamic meshing, including overset mesh methods, moving mesh techniques and mesh interfacing methods
Improve the performance of existing algorithms and develop new methods for complex, moving-object configurations.
Develop and maintain high-quality, robust C++ software optimized for distributed memory parallel computing environments.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements, write user stories, and implement solutions in Java and C++.
Participate in design and code reviews, write technical documentation, and support QA and documentation teams.
What you’ll bring:
Academic background in Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, or a related field.
Practical experience in software development, particularly in simulation or computational geometry.
Familiarity with unstructured meshing, overset mesh, moving mesh techniques, and parallel computing architectures.
Proficiency in object-oriented programming, especially in C++.
Strong communication skills in English and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Preferred (but not required) Skills
Knowledge of finite volume methods.
Experience with Agile development practices.
Java programming skills.
