As an Onboarding Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving the successful implementation of our SaaS applications. You will serve as the key customer advocate, ensuring that customers realize the full value of our product while managing expectations throughout the technical onboarding and adoption process. This role demands strong project management and technical skills, combined with cultural sensitivity and a proactive, can-do attitude.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Management: Lead the end-to-end technical onboarding and operational adoption process from kickoff to successful adoption, including planning, execution, monitoring, and closure (using the NGM Onboarding Methodology as your guard rails).
  • Domain Expertise: Leverage your knowledge of distribution grid operations, planning and the associated IT and OT systems to provide actionable insights and guidance.
  • Customer Advocacy: Act as the primary point of contact for customers, effectively communicating product value, managing expectations, and fostering trust and satisfaction.
  • Process Improvement: Contribute to the development of structured and documented technical onboarding and operational adoption processes, adapting to evolving project needs and challenges.
  • Cross-Cultural Communication: Engage with diverse grid operators across Europe, demonstrating cultural awareness and effective communication in English and ideally other European languages.
  • Project Administration: You will be responsible for comprehensive project administration in alignment with the Siemens PM methodology, encompassing meticulous risk management, accurate forecasting, precise timekeeping and internal reporting. This includes diligently tracking team utilization and ensuring timely and accurate customer invoicing to maintain project financial health and operational efficiency.

Qualifications:

  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Experience: At least 5 years in a structured project management role, preferably within the energy sector and SaaS deployments.
  • Technical Skills: Strong understanding of distribution grid operations, gird planning, IT/OT landscape, and ability to assess technical data and system architecture.
  • Languages: Proficiency in English; additional European languages (e.g., Italian, German, French, Spanish) are highly desirable.
  • Soft Skills: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a proactive, can-do attitude. Able to manage ambiguity, and adept at navigating and improving unstructured processes.

Preferred Qualities:

  • Familiarity with project management frameworks and tools (e.g., PM@Siemens, Agile, Scrum, MS Project, Jira).
  • Experience working with culturally diverse teams and understanding the unique needs of local grid operators.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with customers and internal teams, fostering a collaborative and positive work environment.
  • High level of organization, attention to detail, and ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting.
