We are looking for SAP ABAP Senior Developer.
Before our software developers write even a single line of code, they have to understand what drives our customers. What is the environment? What is the user story based on? Implementation means – trying, testing, and improving outcomes until a final solution emerges. Knowledge means exchange – discussions with colleagues from all over the world.
You’ll make a difference by:
• Designing, building, and delivering high-quality ABAP solutions with a strong focus on execution excellence for the Sherpa X program.
• Owning implementation using RAP (behavior definitions/implementations) and CDS (data models/annotations), ensuring performance, security, and extensibility.
• Implementing and enforcing modern ABAP OO standards, automated tests (ABAP Unit), and static checks (ATC), including code reviews and remediation of findings.
• Delivering features related to Output Management and In-App Extensibility; collaborate with functional teams to clarify technical requirements and ensure fit-to-standard.
• Collaborating with UI5/Fiori developers and integration teams to expose and consume OData services and support end-to-end scenarios.
• Working in Agile/Scrum teams; estimate, plan, and deliver increments; proactively manage risks/impediments and contribute to continuous improvement.
• Using Git/GitLab and CI/CD pipelines for branching, merges, automated builds, and deployments; ensure traceability and compliance with development governance.
• Communicating clearly with stakeholders in a multi-cultural, distributed environment and mentor junior developers on best practices.
Job requirements/ skills:
• 6 to 10 years of hands-on experience in SAP ABAP development (S/4HANA), with strong delivery ownership and quality focus.
• Senior ABAP Developer with expert proficiency in ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP) and CDS for S/4HANA development, delivering clean-core compliant extensions.
• Strong ABAP OO (modern ABAP), ABAP Unit, and ATC-driven quality practices; experienced with ABAP Development Tools (ADT) in Eclipse.
• Experience with SAP Fiori/UI5 (consumption of OData services), Output Management, and In-App Extensibility (key user/extensibility frameworks).
• Working knowledge of SAP Git-enabled development and Git/GitLab-based CI/CD pipelines and development workflows.
