At Siemens Mobility, we empower transport providers worldwide to realize sustainable mobility solutions. As a leading technology company, we combine the real and digital worlds like no other in rail. In an open ecosystem, we bring together rolling stock, rail infrastructure, customer service, and software to enable sustainable, comfortable and cost-effective rail traffic today.

Your Role – Impactful, Meaningful and Future-Oriented

In this role, you will play a pivotal leadership position on one of Australia’s most significant public‑private partnership infrastructure projects — the Sydney Metro Western Sydney Airport (SMWSA) Stations, Systems, Trains and Operations & Maintenance (SSTOM) PPP Project.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead end‑to‑end contract management across the SSTOM project, ensuring outcomes are aligned with commercial, legal, and project objectives.
  • Act as a key interface across an unincorporated Joint Venture and the broader PPP contractual framework, building strong and effective working relationships.
  • Proactively prevent, manage, and resolve complex claims and disputes through early intervention and strategic commercial decision‑making.
  • Draft and negotiate high‑value, complex contractual correspondence and claims in collaboration with project and commercial leaders.
  • Coordinate dispute resolution processes including expert determination, mediation, arbitration (e.g. ACICA rules), and litigation, working closely with internal Legal and external counsel.
  • Lead supplier and consultant governance on contentious matters, chairing commercial forums and escalation meetings and briefing executives on risks, options, and likely outcomes.

You will work collaboratively with Engineering, Delivery, Finance, Legal, Procurement, and external advisors to support successful project delivery.

Shape the future of mobility with your qualifications and skills

To succeed in this role, you will bring strong commercial judgment, technical contract expertise, and the confidence to lead through complexity.

You will bring:

  • Proven contract management experience on major infrastructure projects, with PPP experience highly regarded.
  • Deep knowledge of Australian construction and PPP contracts, including SOPA adjudication and multi‑track dispute resolution processes.
  • Experience managing disputes within the infrastructure or construction sectors, either in‑house or through private legal practice.
  • Advanced capability in claims drafting, delay analysis literacy, and quantum evaluation (including preliminaries, prolongation, disruption, and productivity).
