Position Overview:
Siemens is seeking a driven and experienced professional with a passion for optimizing processes and enhancing quality. We are seeking an initiative-taking Quality & Manufacturing Process Improvement Specialist to join our team. In this critical individual contributor role, you will play a pivotal part in collaborating with leaders across the organization to identify, develop, and implement innovative process improvements within our quality and manufacturing operations.
What your day may look like:
- Work closely with leaders and stakeholders across various departments to understand current challenges, identify opportunities for improvement, and align process enhancement initiatives with strategic business objectives.
- Conduct thorough analyses of existing quality and manufacturing processes, utilizing strong technical quality management skills to pinpoint inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for optimization.
- Design and develop robust, data-driven action plans and solutions for process improvements, leveraging best practices in quality management, lean methodologies, and manufacturing excellence.
- Lead and support the implementation of approved process improvements, ensuring seamless integration and minimal disruption to ongoing operations.
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor the effectiveness of implemented changes, track progress, and report on the impact of process improvements.
- Champion a culture of continuous improvement, effectively communicating the benefits of new processes and challenging existing norms to foster innovation and efficiency.
- Act as a subject matter expert, sharing insights, best practices, and training with colleagues to elevate overall organizational capabilities in quality and manufacturing process improvement.
- Ensure and improve the quality of supplied products and services in the assigned areas of manufacturing. Implement Supplier Quality Management (SQM) requirements regarding specifications, supplier, product, and service selection and qualification according to the cross-functional aligned material and supplier strategy.
- Drive innovative solutions to improve production quality by thinking outside the box, coaching, and fostering the application of creativity methods.
- Act as an advisor to management and business partners on advanced technical areas related to quality and manufacturing.
- Ensure and implement projection standards, guidelines, and programs in an assigned plant environment.
- Design and coordinate standards and methods for inspections, testing, and evaluation.
- Analyze and continuously improve a series of processes within quality and manufacturing.
- Initiate and facilitate training for production employees with regards to quality standards and best practices.
- Ensure effective cooperation with both internal and external stakeholders, clarifying issues and fostering strong relationships.
- Perform quality coordination for all production products within the Business Unit and to other production sites, if needed.
- Advise and escalate to the appropriate parties regarding critical quality issues or deviations.
What will make you successful in this role:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience as an individual contributor in a similar role focusing on process improvement within quality and manufacturing environments.
- Strong technical quality management skills, including a deep understanding of quality standards, methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing), and tools.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and concisely to diverse audiences, including senior leadership.
- Demonstrated ability to translate analysis into concrete action plans and drive them to successful completion.
- A proactive and analytical mindset with a proven track record of identifying problems, developing creative solutions, and implementing effective changes.
- Ability to challenge the status quo constructively, influence stakeholders, and build consensus around new approaches and improvements.

The salary range for this position in Sacramento, CA is $172,992 - $210,000 and the annual incentive target is 20% of the base salary. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
