Introduction
Media is a core function of SLC CM to help achieve business goals. Through our media activities we aim to create and develop a consistent, credible and positive image of Siemens amongst the media and our key target groups. Through pro-active and targeted dialogue with the media, we want to achieve wide coverage by key media for Siemens China in line with our corporate key messages. We aim to closely coordinate all media work with key Businesses in China to ensure that we communicate with “one voice” and effectively leverage our key achievements and success stories.
Siemens Ltd., China is looking for one Media Relations senior specialist working at CM department in Beijing or Shanghai.
What are my responsibilities?
− Annual Media Strategy Development: Contribute to the strategic development and execution of the company's annual media strategy, aligning with overall communication goals.
− Strategic Media & KOL Management: Develop and manage relationships with AI-focused vertical media and Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) to significantly enhance the company's influence and voice within the technology community. (Prior experience in the technology sector is a plus.)
− Integrated Communication Planning & Execution: Formulate and execute comprehensive annual communication plans for key company topics (e.g., Industrial AI). This includes breaking down strategies into actionable quarterly campaigns, such as AI white paper launches and event planning, to ensure successful implementation.
− Content Creation & Technical Translation: Translate complex technical and business developments into compelling external communication. Independently draft high-quality press releases, bylined articles, speeches, and other corporate communication documents.
− Media Relations & Network Building: Cultivate and maintain a robust network with general, business, tech, and trade media across the country, ensuring timely and relevant information flow.
− Internal & Cross-Functional Alignment: Support and coordinate internal communication efforts, fostering effective collaboration with business groups and corporate departments.
What do I need to qualify for this job?
− Experience: Minimum 5 years of B2B / B2C corporate communications experience,with a proven track record of successful campaigns in areas such as AI.
− Strategic Vision: Possess a high level of strategic vision and critical thinking, with a keen awareness of industry/Tech trends and market dynamics.
− Technical Acumen & Communication: Demonstrated ability to quickly grasp complex technical and business concepts and translate them into clear, accessible external communication.
− Language Proficiency: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Mandarin and English.
− Collaboration: Strong cross-functional collaboration skills, enabling effective communication with engineers, product managers, and business colleagues.
− Industry Knowledge: Thorough understanding of the media and PR industry in China, coupled with a solid and wide media network.
− Personal Attributes: Self-determined, a proactive team player, results-oriented, quality-focused, adheres to high professional ethics, and possesses strong resilience under pressure.
