Today, we are recruiting for a Senior Commercial Project Officer to join our team in Egypt. This is an excellent career opportunity for professionals looking to join a truly international team in one of the biggest projects of Siemens Mobility.

What are my responsibilities?

  • Review and validate monthly project costs and accounting entries to ensure financial accuracy.
  • Ensure adherence to defined financial processes, internal controls, and reporting guidelines.
  • Support project budget preparation and ensure alignment with internal financial policies.
  • Respond to operations-related financial inquiries and act as an escalation point for commercial matters.
  • Prepare monthly treasury submissions and structured cost reports.
  • Analyze deviations between Actuals and Plan and follow up on the implementation of corrective actions.
  • Provide clear and structured financial insights to support project decision-making.
  • Identify financial risks and opportunities and document mitigation actions with relevant stakeholders.
  • Facilitate timely procurement inputs from project departments to avoid delays and cost impacts.
  • Monitor procurement progress (PR/PO/GR) to ensure alignment with project budgets and timelines.
  • Review and validate commercial terms in local procurement contracts.
  • Coordinate between Operations, Procurement, and Finance teams to ensure smooth commercial processes.
  • Monitor project progress milestones and ensure accurate financial and billing reflection.
  • Support the maintenance of commercial documentation including cost plans, staffing plans, and risk registers.

What do I need to qualify for this job?

  • You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration.
  • You have +5 years of experience in Finance, Accounting, External Audit, or FP&A.
  • You understand financial reporting standards such as IFRS or Egyptian Accounting Standards.
  • You demonstrate a strong financial control mindset with high attention to detail.
  • You are proficient in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, formulas, VLOOKUP, and variance analysis.
  • You have basic experience using SAP or similar ERP systems.
  • You communicate clearly in both written and verbal formats.
  • You are fluent in English.
  • You collaborate effectively across functions and follow up with multiple stakeholders.
  • You think analytically and approach problems with a structured mindset.
  • You manage time effectively and can handle multiple priorities.
  • You have experience working in EPC project environments or infrastructure projects is a plus.
  • You have experience using Power BI or similar reporting tools is highly advantageous.
  • You hold professional certifications such as CMA or FMVA is a plus.
