About the Internship

This internship is offered as part of the Siemens Software Strategic Student Program, designed to give students meaningful industry experience while contributing to real business initiatives.

You will work at the intersection of Customer Success strategy, data analytics, and artificial intelligence, supporting projects that improve how customer outcomes are defined, measured, and translated into actionable insights. You will collaborate with Customer Success and cross-functional teams to explore data-driven approaches that support customer value realization.

Students working on a thesis or research project related to data analytics, artificial intelligence, digital transformation, or customer success strategy are encouraged to apply. When relevant, there may be opportunities to connect the internship experience with academic research, although this is not required.

Learning Goals & Practical Experience

As part of the Customer Success Strategy team, you will gain practical experience by contributing to project-based initiatives focused on improving how customer value and adoption are measured. The specific project assignment will be discussed during the interview process.

During the internship, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Learn how customer success outcomes are analyzed across industries and personas, and support the documentation of value realization frameworks linked to Siemens Software solutions.

  • Develop experience analyzing customer health indicators such as adoption metrics, product usage data, and engagement signals to identify trends and opportunities.

  • Explore how artificial intelligence can enhance Customer Success workflows and support data-driven insights.

  • Understand how customer data flows across systems such as Customer Relationship Management platforms, Customer Success tools, and product telemetry sources.

  • Contribute to preparing insights, reports, and presentations that support Customer Success Managers in communicating customer value and progress.

If the topic of a current academic thesis or research project aligns with the scope of this internship, it would be considered an advantage. However, having such a thesis project is not mandatory.

All About You!

You recently obtained (within the past year) or are currently pursuing a bachelor's degree or higher in Business, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Engineering, or a combination of Business & Technology. Having affinity with the world of industrial software, data analytics, artificial intelligence, or digital transformation is a great plus. You don't have to know everything there is to know about our clients and solutions yet. We will help you!

  • Curious mindset with strong analytical and research skills.

  • Ability to work with data, digital tools, or analytical platforms.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, paired with strong listening and storytelling abilities.

  • Ability to collaborate across teams and contribute to cross-functional initiatives.

  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, capable of working independently while contributing to team projects.

  • Having a research or thesis topic related to the internship domain is considered a plus, but it is not required.
