The Executive – Digitalization (Logistics) will be responsible for driving digital transformation initiatives within the Supply Chain & Logistics function. The role requires strong expertise in Power BI analytics, data engineering, SAP MM/Fiori processes, workflow automation, and AI‑based improvements. The Executive will also support buying activities, supplier coordination, and inventory management while implementing digital solutions across SCM operations.
Core Responsibilities
1. Digitalization & Analytics (Primary Responsibility)
- Drive the SCM digitalization roadmap focusing on dashboards, automation, AI tools, and workflow optimization.
- Develop and maintain advanced Power BI dashboards using DAX, data modelling, and Snowflake or other data platform integrations.
- Perform data engineering activities including data cleaning, structuring, modelling, and standardization for analytics.
- Build digital trackers for PO, GR, TECO, inventory KPIs, and planning accuracy.
- Integrate AI and automation tools to eliminate repetitive SCM tasks and increase process efficiency.
- Support digital upskilling within the department and contribute to analytics maturity improvement.
- Identify digital improvement opportunities and convert them into actionable solutions.
2. SAP Management & Automation
- Manage and update SAP MM master data including material master, lead time, safety stock, and procurement parameters.
- Implement SAP automation enhancements such as Auto‑Availability Check, Auto‑TECO, Auto‑CLSD, and related workflows.
- Use SAP Fiori apps for procurement, analytics, inventory, and reporting.
- Extract and transform SAP data for dashboards, reporting, and decision support.
- Improve SAP processes to reduce manual efforts and enhance system reliability.
3. Buying & Supplier Coordination
- Perform material coverage checks to ensure planning accuracy and timely availability.
- Manage PR–PO cycle including PO creation, placement, follow‑up, and closure.
- Coordinate with suppliers for confirmations, delivery schedules, and adherence.
- Track import orders and collaborate with EXIM for documentation and shipment tracking.
- Monitor GRN status, WebCycles updates, and highlight discrepancies.
- Support inventory monitoring to prevent shortages, excess, or obsolescence.
4. Cost Saving Responsibilities
- Generate data‑driven cost‑saving ideas aligned with business objectives.
- Validate ideas with Finance and prepare OPW documentation.
- Manage monthly OPW reporting and track cost‑saving initiatives.
- Use analytics insights to identify cost risks, negotiate better terms, and optimize procurement.
Qualifications & Skills
- B. Tech./B.E. in Mechanical Eng. with 5–6 years of experience in relevant fields.
- Strong proficiency in Power BI (Advanced) including DAX, modelling, and data integration.
- Strong knowledge of SAP MM, SAP Fiori, and procurement/inventory processes.
- Exposure to Snowflake or similar cloud data platforms.
- Strong SCM domain understanding: procurement, MRP, inventory, supplier coordination.
- Analytical, data‑driven mindset with strong problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to independently manage digitalization tasks and work with cross‑functional teams.
