About the Role
We are looking for a hands-on Snowflake & dbt Expert to design, develop, and continuously improve our global data warehousing and transformation services. You will ensure that our data pipelines, models, and architecture run reliably, scale with business demand, and empower analysts, data scientists, and business stakeholders to discover, understand, and trust enterprise data.
You will manage daily operations, dbt development, automation, and platform enhancements, working closely with data engineers, architects, and IT teams across the company.
Your Responsibilities
Daily Operations & Platform Management
  • Operate and maintain Snowflake data warehouse, including data model design and implementation, query optimization, and performance tuning.
  • Develop, test, and deploy dbt models, macros, and transformations.
  • Monitor operational jobs, troubleshoot issues, and take ownership of 3rd-level support.
Data Modeling & Architecture Enablement
  • Design scalable data models (fact/dimension tables, star/snowflake schemas).
  • Implement best practices for data architecture and warehouse design.
  • Ensure data quality, consistency, and alignment with governance guidelines.
  • Support domain-driven data practices within a modern data stack environment.
Automation, Integration & DevOps Practices
  • Build automation for dbt workflows, testing, and monitoring.
  • Integrate dbt with CI/CD pipelines and orchestration tools (Airflow, Prefect, Dagster).
  • Support SRE practices (SLIs/SLOs, runbooks, incident reviews).
  • Collaborate on integration with BI tools and downstream analytics platforms.
Collaboration & Cross-Service Work
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including SAP, internal IT teams, business partners, and business users to ensure proper data model development and alignment with enterprise needs.
  • Participate in solution designs and architectural reviews to ensure consistency across systems.
  • Communicate operational impacts and project updates effectively with both technical and business stakeholders.
Your Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5+ Years of overall experience and 3+ years of hands-on experience with Snowflake (data warehousing, query optimization, performance tuning).
  • Advanced proficiency in dbt development (models, macros, testing, documentation).
  • Strong SQL, Python skills and experience with ETL/ELT processes.
  • Experience working in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Familiarity with Git and CI/CD practices for data workflows.
  • Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts (star schema, slowly changing dimensions, fact/dimension tables etc.).
