You’ll make an impact by
You will lead Siemens’ enterprise-wide architecture and portfolio strategy with clear authority, governance responsibility, and organizational influence:
- Own Enterprise Architecture strategy and standards across Siemens IT, defining principles, target architectures, and long-term roadmaps aligned to business and IT strategy
- Chair the Siemens IT Architecture Council and act as the final decision authority for cross-domain architectural standards and investments
- Establish and govern the enterprise architecture framework, spanning Enterprise, Domain, and Solution Architecture
- Translate strategy into execution, turning business priorities into actionable architecture and investment roadmaps
- Drive platform and ecosystem strategy for core technologies (e.g., SAP, Salesforce, Microsoft, Teamcenter, cloud platforms)
- Lead Application Portfolio Management (APM) to optimize cost, technical health, risk, and business value; rationalize and modernize legacy landscapes
- Enable large-scale transformations, including global process and system harmonization programs (e.g., SHERPA X)
- Influence senior stakeholders as a strategic advisor to IT and business leadership, ensuring enterprise-wide alignment
- Build and lead a high-performing architecture community, mentoring senior architects and fostering engineering excellence and innovation
Your success is grounded in
- Senior Leadership & Experience
- 15+ years of progressive IT experience, including 8–10+ years in Enterprise Architecture leadership within large, global organizations
- Proven ownership of enterprise-wide architecture strategies and large-scale transformation programs
- Strategic & Technical Expertise
- Deep end-to-end expertise across business, data, application, technology, and security architecture
- Strong knowledge of EA frameworks (e.g., TOGAF), APM methodologies, cloud-native architectures, APIs, and modern platform strategies
- Solid understanding of AI-enabled architectures and digital platform ecosystems
- Experience shaping enterprise platforms such as SAP, Salesforce, Microsoft, and hyperscalers (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Transformation & Business Acumen
- Track record in global business process transformation (e.g., Lead-to-Cash, Design-to-Operate, Procure-to-Pay, Record-to-Report)
- Strong capability to balance innovation, standardization, cost efficiency, and technical health
- Analytical, pragmatic, and outcome-oriented mindset with focus on measurable business value
- Communication & Stakeholder Management
- Excellent executive communication and influencing skills
- Trusted advisor to senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders
- Fluent in English; German is a plus
