Mission of Function:
As this role, you will be instrumental in shaping and executing the commodity strategy for your assigned portfolio. Your mission is to drive synergy and pooling initiatives across our various locations, ensuring a robust and secure supply chain. You will be a key player in developing a top-tier supplier base, fostering supply chain excellence, and optimizing our commodity budget through sustainable productivity improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Demand Analysis: Conduct thorough demand analysis for your assigned commodity, aligning closely with cross-functional teams to support product development roadmaps and New Product Introduction (NPI) plans. This includes accurate yearly and monthly demand forecasting for materials within your commodity.
  • Cost Optimization & Productivity: Lead comprehensive cost analysis for your commodity, defining and driving sustainable productivity plans. You will be responsible for annual supplier negotiation planning and execution, alongside other cost-reduction initiatives such as Value Engineering (CVE) and e-auctions.
  • Supplier Relationship Management: Develop and implement a strategic supplier management framework for your commodity, including defining criteria for strategic suppliers and crafting development plans. You will conduct regular supplier evaluations and performance reviews, collaborating with cross-functional teams on supplier development. Cultivate strong supplier relationships through regular business reviews to align on strategic business development.
  • Process Enhancement: Actively participate in the optimization and continuous improvement of procurement processes, proposing innovative solutions to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Collaborative Support: Proactively complete tasks assigned by leadership and provide enthusiastic support to other departments, contributing to the overall success of the company's operations.
  • Continuous Learning: Engage in internal departmental training and knowledge-sharing activities to continuously elevate your professional capabilities and contribute to the collective expertise of the team.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering or a related technical field.
  • A minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in procurement or commodity management, demonstrating a solid understanding of procurement processes and fundamental commodity management principles.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical parts manufacturing processes and cost structures.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills, enabling effective collaboration with both suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Fluency in English&Chinese (both written and spoken).
  • A proven track record of successful teamwork and collaboration.
