About the role / segment
Become part of our team now as a PreSales Technical Account Manager (TAM) for digital
transformation in the Marine Industry at one of our many locations in the Asia Pacific Zone.
This is not a delegation or expatriate assignment. Candidates must already have the legal
right to live and work in Korea.
You will join our APAC Zone team driving strategic presales engagements across Japan, Korea,
China, India, and other countries. Your mission: advise leading marine customers—such as Hyundai
Heavy Industries—on transforming their business landscape through Value & Solution
Roadmapping.
The TAM role is pivotal in executing industry-oriented, prescriptive, and value-driven software
engagements through strong business relationships. You will be seen as a trusted advisor,
engaging in conversations about:
? Marine industry trends and challenges (e.g., IMO regulations, decarbonization)
? Digital ship design and smart manufacturing
? Lifecycle management for vessels and fleets
You will collaborate with customers to define solution scope and multi-year roadmaps aligned with
their business needs and Siemens’ sales strategy. Speak with authority on how Siemens Xcelerator
solutions deliver competitive advantage in marine engineering and shipbuilding.

What will be your responsibilities?
? Lead and implement industry focused, prescriptive software sales engagements, typically
covering the whole Digital Enterprise.
? Build trusted advisor status by communicating knowledgeably with the customer around
industry trends & challenges, target industry processes, competitor landscapes and wider value
chain, through the delivery of thought leadership presentations and workshops.
? Develop customer relationships through remote selling and face-to-face visits to facilitate
future software sales.
? Develop and drive internal initiatives, particularly around the targeted industry, that positively
influence further business growth within this market.
? Work closely with customers in the targeted industry to understand their business strategy and
development and align their needs to the Siemens Xcelerator portfolio
? Lead and implement complex prescriptive sales engagements
? Become the go-to-point in AP when it comes to the targeted industry activities.
What We Are Looking For.
As part of the sales team, lead and execute industry focused, prescriptive and value driven land and
expand sales engagements through the development of productive business relationships with
customers and prospects. Using insights from PreSales tools, work with the customer and account
team to define an executable strategic Customer Roadmap, identifying land and expand opportunities
within the customer organization.
Build credibility and improve customer confidence by having business conversations with the
customer around industry trends, business challenges, and business needs. Using standard
practices, provide input into the formation of a cohesive customer sales strategy, develop executive
briefs, communicate solution visions specific to a customer or prospect, and prepare financially
quantified value propositions and business cases, to support the sale.
Unrestricted
Develop, using standard collateral, solution scope and roadmap aligned with the business needs
identified and the agreed sales strategy. Speak with authority, articulating Siemens point of view on
solution adoption to deliver competitive advantage. With guidance from more experienced TAM's if
required, deliver technical campaigns coordinating Siemens and partnering resources to win new
business including the development and delivery of presentations, demonstrations, proofs of concept,
proposals, and business/technology status reviews.
Consume and support PreSales practices and standards relating to the role. Works independently on
engagements of cross portfolio scope. Provides guidance and mentoring within country to others on
the business value within an Industry, and on Siemens standard practices.
Your qualifications/Experience
? Proven experience within the marine industry (shipbuilding, marine engineering, or related
sectors).
? Consolidated experience in a customer-facing sale, or business development function in a
Software company
? Demonstrates extensive knowledge in some of the following technologies:
? NX for 3D ship design and engineering (including hull form development, structural
design, and outfitting)
? PLM for ship design and engineering
? MOM for shipyard operations
? Digital Manufacturing for marine production
? A good communicator and brilliant presentation skills and excellent relationship
management skills
? Experience with CXO level discussions.
? Leadership and project management skill, to define and track structured work plans
? Willing to travel within Asia Pacific – 10% to 30%
? Business level language skills in the country of residence
? Business-level English and local language proficiency.
