We are looking for an Operations Project Manager for our Mexican Operations. This position will be reporting to the Head of Strategy & Process Technology in the US, but based in Juarez, MX (preferred) or Monterrey, MX (possible alternative).

You’ll make a difference with the following duties:

Strategic Projects (Framing, Implementation, and Leadership)

  • Translate operational needs / improvements into financial impacts through evaluation of operational impacts (using our Capital Expense /ROI justification process).
  • Implement (NPI) new products, technologies & solutions in an operationally sustainable manner, documenting these solutions for scalability at our other plants.
  • Provide Project Management Leadership, Mentorship, and Empowerment to expand and improve our capacities to manage more projects.

Leadership & Organizational Change

  • Facilitate and coach teams at all organizational levels, fostering open dialogue, self-realization, and effective conflict resolution.
  • Encourage a culture of high performance through strategic organizational change and promoting continuous organizational learning.
  • Model lean activities, envisioning future states and guiding the organization through the necessary steps to achieve them.
  • Champion Initiatives related to Safety, Quality, Sustainability, etc.

Communication & Relationship Building

  • Communicate complex concepts clearly in both English & Spanish to diverse audiences, avoiding jargon and ensuring understanding and adoption.
  • Build strong relationships and motivate multidisciplinary teams through effective written and verbal communication across all organizational levels.
  • Facilitate cross-level engagement, strategic deployment status updates, and accurately estimate resources for project goals.
  • Frequent communication/collaboration with the Strategy & Process Technology team members.

You’ll win us over by having the following qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience implementing projects across a large, complex organization. This should be complemented by a portfolio of many projects in multiple subject areas/environments.
  • Demonstrated lean experience, including proficiency in lean tools (e.g., A3, VSMs, KPI Measurement Systems).
  • Direct operations experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Effective, proven experience in organizational change, including facilitation, conflict resolution, and leading change across multiple levels.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (in both English & Spanish), with the ability to build relationships and motivate multidisciplinary teams.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of and passion for safety in industrial production environment.
  • Travel required: max. 50% in North America (most common locations Juarez & Monterrey)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Minimum of Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Experience with digitalization and data analytics.
  • Experience with Molding (Thermoset & Thermoplastic)
  • Experience implementing SMED / reduction in die set-up times (sheet metal and molding set-up)
  • Experience in the electrical components & enclosed control industry.
