About the Job
Siemens/Brightly is seeking a highly motivated and data-driven AR/Collections Specialist to join our dynamic Finance team. As an AR/Collections Specialist, you will play a key role in managing a designated accounts receivable portfolio with a strong focus on proactive oversight and data-informed decision-making. This role extends beyond traditional collections by encouraging continuous improvement including digitalization initiatives, trend identification, and contribution to strategic reporting. You will partner closely with cross-functional teams to streamline processes, enhance customer experiences, and support operational excellence. We are looking for someone committed to accuracy, efficiency, and continuous growth within an evolving department.
What you will do
Strategic Collections & Resolution
Proactively manage an assigned portfolio, using data insights to identify risks and opportunities.
Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies, disputes, and payment inquiries promptly to ensure customer satisfaction.
Perform routine account reconciliations to verify accuracy and resolve inconsistencies, with a focus on strengthening data integrity.
Advanced Data Analysis & Reporting
Analyze aging reports, collection forecasts, and AR metrics to identify trends and root causes of delinquency to suggest solutions using state of the art tools (e.g. Power BI, Qlik).
Present clear, actionable insights that support decision-making and process improvement initiatives.
Documentation & Compliance
Maintain accurate, detailed records of collection activities, communications, and account adjustments within financial systems.
Ensure documentation supports audit requirements and ongoing process optimization.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner closely with Sales, Customer Service, Billing, and other internal teams to resolve customer issues and streamline processes.
Support organizational objectives by fostering strong, collaborative working relationships.
Continuous Improvement
Identify, recommend, and implement enhancements including digital solutions to AR and collections processes.
Drive efficiency, reduce delinquency, and contribute to the development of innovative solutions that support departmental growth.
What you need
Experience: 7-10 years of Accounts Receivable and Collections experience with proven success in a proactive, metrics-driven environment.
Technical Skills:
Microsoft Excel: Advanced proficiency (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, complex formulas).
Power BI: Experience developing dynamic dashboards and financial reporting tools.
Systems Knowledge: Familiarity with Salesforce, Sage Intacct, and SAP.
Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to negotiate professionally and maintain positive customer relationships.
Analytical Strength: Demonstrated ability to analyze complex data sets, identify discrepancies, determine root causes, and propose data-driven solutions.
Organizational Skills: Ability to manage several priorities, meet deadlines, work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, and be self-driven to identify potential improvements.

The pay range for this position is $22.62 - $38.78 per hour. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications and premium geographic location.
