Position Title: EHS Bid Manager, – SEIL GT-GS
Location: Gurgaon
Roles and Responsibilities
Main Areas of Responsibility
- Lead and coordinate all Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) activities pertaining to bid management for proposed projects, ensuring compliance with relevant laws, SEIL requirements, and customer standards.
- Review, analyze, and incorporate EHS specifications, legal obligations, and client requirements into bid documentation and tender submissions.
- Develop bid-stage EHS strategies, technical clarifications, and responses aligning with project risk profiles, scope, and geographical laws (ISO 45001, ISO 14001, local regulations).
- Participate in bid reviews, risk assessments, and collaborative sessions with bidding, engineering, and consortium partners to identify EHS risks, mitigation measures, and resource needs for the execution phase.
- Interface with stakeholders to address EHS queries, ensure transparent communication of safety commitments and project capabilities.
- Develop EHS cost estimates, budget allocations for bid proposals, and technical tender clarifications such as method statements, risk registers, and EHS concept.
- Maintain an up-to-date understanding of relevant statutory and customer EHS requirements, updating repository of standard responses and templates as laws or standards evolve.
- Support handover of approved bids to the project EHS team, ensuring seamless transfer of defined EHS commitments and controls into the execution phase.
- Champion zero tolerance for EHS non-compliance in all bids, upholding SEIL and client reputations for safety and operational excellence.
- Abilities and skills to handle assigned project sites as EHS project manager.
Key Competencies Required
- Advanced knowledge of EHS management systems (ISO 45001, ISO 14001).
- Technical expertise, analytical capabilities and soft skills to identify, evaluate, and mitigate potential hazards associated with a project.
- Strong experience in contract/tender EHS documentation, risk assessment, and technical proposal preparation.
- Excellent analytical, documentation, and multi-stakeholder coordination skills.
- Proven ability to interpret project specifications and integrate EHS controls in complex bids.
- Capability to communicate EHS priorities persuasively across internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience in management of EHS as a project EHS Manager.
Qualifications
- Professional qualifications: Diploma/PG Diploma in Industrial Safety.
- Basic qualifications: Engineering Degree/Diploma, or Science Graduate.
Experience
- Minimum 8–12 years progressive EHS experience, with at least 3 years in EHS bid management or similar roles in construction/energy/heavy industry.
