Help shape the future of rail – in Sweden and beyond

Are you ready to help transform how Sweden travels – through sustainable, digital, and future-proof rail solutions?

At Siemens Mobility, we're looking for a Project Procurement Manager to support our growing Rail Infrastructure and Customer Service business. This is a role for an experienced procurement professional who thrives in complex project environments, values collaboration, and wants to make a tangible impact within a global technology leader.

You'll be based at our Solna office in Stockholm and report directly to our CFO and be part of the North-East Europe procurement team.

About the role

As a Project Procurement Manager, you'll be at the forefront of project success—driving sourcing and contracting activities across both sales and execution phases. You'll take full ownership of procurement within your assigned projects, leveraging the expertise and collaborative strength of our broader Siemens procurement organization.

What makes this role exciting?
The diversity of projects you'll engage with. From rolling stock service and rail infrastructure electrification (including civil works and buildings) to complex signalling projects—you'll work across the full spectrum of rail technology.

Your mission is to deliver optimal business impact by strategically and tactically managing all procurement activities, ensuring compliance with Siemens' high standards, and adhering to all relevant processes and regulations.

This role offers significant opportunities for professional growth and development in a diverse, high-impact project environment.

What you'll do

  • Develop project-specific procurement strategies and RFQ packages, supporting engineering colleagues to define scope of work documentation
  • Lead contract and price negotiations, securing favorable terms and conditions with suppliers aligned with project requirements and overall procurement goals
  • Conduct scope of supply analysis with the project team, translating business and project needs into procurement activities
  • Ensure back-to-back alignment of crucial customer contract clauses in supplier agreements where required
  • Manage procurement risks, opportunities, and contract changes effectively throughout the project lifecycle
  • Prepare, monitor, and report procurement activities in close coordination with the project team
  • Drive continuous improvement of processes, templates, and best practices
  • Proactively share relevant procurement information with stakeholders

Who we're looking for

To succeed in this role, we believe you have:

  • A university degree in business, economics, or engineering
  • Proven experience as a Project Procurement Manager—ideally with exposure to electrical installation and civil works procurement
  • Strong communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to negotiate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Fluency in Swedish and English (written and verbal)
  • A sustainability mindset: you incorporate sustainability criteria into supplier selection and sourcing strategies, aligning with organizational goals
  • An innovative approach: you act as an early adopter and advocate of new technologies, including AI tools, to enhance procurement processes

Why you'll love working for Siemens Mobility

We offer an environment built on professional expertise, autonomy, and meaningful impact:

  • Freedom and healthy work-life balance – we trust you to make decisions, solve problems, and take actions that contribute to long-term success
  • Meaningful work – our solutions have real impact on customers, society, and the environment
  • Innovation at the core – we're frontrunners in digitalization and platform development, and we're hiring ambitious forward-thinkers who want to make a difference
