Within XPE, we’re responsible for the OSES mission (One Software Engineering System) responsible for transforming the developer experience for all software engineers at Siemens. Our portfolio of products delivers a comprehensive platform covering all aspects of the SDLC. A team has been formed to help deliver a set of well-integrated SaaS-delivered, COTS products into our platform. Some examples include JIRA and a new developer productivity platform that will be offered to all of Siemens. We are seeking the help of a product owner that help work with our clients, understand their needs, and derive solutions for these products. The product owner role helps our teams manage and drive priorities and is deeply in touch, if not helping shape, our organizational goals and product strategy. Such products are feature-rich, highly configurable, and in-demand from clients. Direction on potential solutions and a view of priorities tied to both out-of-the-box configuration/features, vendor-led roadmap needs, and our own product integration are all required to effectively enable our engineering teams.
Responsibilities:
- Work directly with clients within a complex environment that span multiple business units toward alignment of common solutions from bespoke requirements
- Unify requirements and potential solutions for COTS products or solutions that integrate with COTS products derived from critical client needs
- Evangelize and educate on the admin team product offerings toward informing and promoting existing capabilities of the products for clients
- Produce documentation, demonstrations, and enablement material toward product adoption
- Work with engineering and other stakeholders to populate the backlog, define priorities, and more
- Demonstrations of potential features and/or solutions tied to demand
- Can lead workshops, surveys, and interviews across functions (vendors, engineers, leaders, UX, product management, quality assurance, and more) toward synthesizing a vision, strategy, and solution direction
- Conduct competitive analysis and market research on other products/solutions, trends, and opportunities to honor build/buy/partner philosophy
Education, and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or similar stream
- 10+ yrs of work experience and around 5 Years experience as Product owner or similar responsibilities
Qualifications:
- Demonstrable experience with Developer Productivity platforms and process/backlog management tools
- At least five years of experience in a client facing role: support, product management, and/or business analyst
- At least five years of experience working within a product team with an ability to communicate and understand technical teams
- Experience with both COTS and SaaS offerings
- Experience with software engineering and/or platforms is desirable
- Experience with Agile framework and SAFe is desirable
- Experience with PDLC and product management practices is desirable
- A highly collaborative, positive attitude interested in fast-paced, rapidly-changing environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience drafting PRDs, technical/non-functional requirements, and solutions documents tied to client and business needs
- Proficiency in working systems like JIRA, Confluence, Product Discovery tools, prototyping technology (Figma, AI-based rapid prototyping tools, etc)
- Familiarity with both in-office and remote environments
This position will be subject to U.S. export control requirements under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). Employment is contingent on either verifying the U.S. Person status or obtaining any necessary export license.

The pay range for this position is 151,300 - 272,400 annually with a target incentive of 10-15 of the base salary. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
