Then come and join our global team as Head of Global Travel Management (f/m/d) to establish and govern a robust travel and expense program that ensures compliance and efficiency while shaping service excellence and a positive employee experience for all business travel worldwide. This includes owning travel policy compliance and administration, updating global and local travel policies, coordinating with key stakeholders (Corporate Security, Global Mobility, Procurement, IT), and managing the service relationship currently provided by the parent company’s shared services.

Through management of a cross-functional executive committee, this role will be responsible for strategic service governance guiding delivery models across geographies to ensure consistency, scalability and compliance and have global oversight of internal service delivery as well as the strategic renewal management and the executive relationship management for our internal partners.


Choose the best place for your work – Within the scope of this position, it is possible, in consultation with your manager, to work mobile (within Germany) up to an average volume of 60% of the respective working hours.

Even more flexibility? Mobile working from abroad is possible for up to 30 days a year under certain conditions and in selected countries.

Your tasks and responsibilities:

Travel Management:

  • Assuming travel governance & compliance leadership as well as the global process ownership for E2E Global Travel & Expense management
  • Lead and coordinate the update of associated local country travel policies to ensure that they meet business needs, legal requirements and business best practices
  • Lead implementation of compliance controls (i.e. reporting audits, policy exception tracking) as well as promoting awareness/ training for HR, management and employees
  • Oversee the administration of business travel and expense processes and initiate and lead operational efficiency projects or user satisfaction improvements as well as the set-up of standard operating procedures for travel administration
  • Assume the leadership of the global E2E Travel Committee established for cross-functional coordination of travel-related topics incl. preparation, coordination and documentation of meetings
  • Manage and optimize internal and external service providers in the travel eco space including evaluation of options for future outsourcing vs insourcing
  • Drive operational efficiencies and improvement projects, especially to modernize the travel IT set-up and architecture jointly with partners in IT, Procurement and other relevant functions
  • Work closely with cross-functional partners to integrate travel management with related areas, notable Corporate Security, Global Mobility, Procurement, Finance and IT
  • Set-up analytics and reporting for travel management incl travel spend (jointly with Finance), travel behaviors and trends. Prepare reports for Company leadership incl. proposals for cost optimization initiatives

Service Delivery:

  • Executive Relationship Management: Lead the cross-functional executive committee to manage the global oversight of internal service delivery ensuring consistent standards and seamless coordination with internal service provider (GBS)
  • Operational Excellence & Continuous improvements: initiate and drive optimization projects across different service lines
  • Strategic Service Governance: Cultivate a service excellence strategy by contributing with developing and supporting service strategies (i.e. jointly with functional service owners), based on sound market insights and business requirements
  • Contract Lifecycle & Vendor Management: Oversee and coordinate the global service contract lifecycle, driving timely renewals in alignment with organizational goals and compliance with internal regulations
  • Cross-functional collaboration: Serve as strategic interface to internal and external subject matter experts, and act as escalation point for resolving complex service-related disputes, balancing business priorities and fostering collaborative outcomes

Your qualifications and experience:

  • You have a university’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred; a Master´s degree preferred
  • You have many years of experience in the expert area of global travel, mobility and/or within a shared service organization (ideally, within large matrix organization or consultancy)
  • You have demonstrated leadership capabilities in collaborating at an executive level of an organization
  • You habe profound experience in managing internal and external travel and/or mobility partnerships
  • You have proven transformation and change management experience
  • You are experienced with relevant tools and technologies


Your attributes and skills:

  • You are fluent in English and German language, other languages are an asset
  • You possess profound analytical, problem-solving abilities and presentation skills
  • You excel with your proactive stakeholder management and consultation abilities across all levels and functions (CoE Heads, Centralized Functions)
  • You have strong interpersonal skills, proven communication skills (also at management and senior management level) and a healthy assertiveness to drive change and achieve the best possible result for Siemens Healthineers in an international matrix organization
  • You have a growth mindset and are able to adapt well to ambiguity and a fast-paced environment
  • You have the proven ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural environment
