Here you will work in a modern, dynamic factory environment, where we increasingly rely on artificial intelligence (AI) to optimize production processes and drive innovation. As an Assembly Planner specializing in Demand Planning, you will play a critical role in aligning production schedules with customer demand, ensuring timely assembly and delivery of products. You will collaborate cross-functionally with procurement, manufacturing, logistics, and sales teams to optimize inventory levels, reduce lead times, and support Siemens’ commitment to operational excellence and customer satisfaction.
You will make an impact by:
- Demand Forecasting & Planning
- Analyze historical data, market trends, and customer forecasts to develop accurate demand plans.
- Collaborate with Sales and Product Management to validate and adjust forecasts.
- Maintain and improve forecasting models using SAP and other planning tools.
- Assembly Scheduling
- Translate demand plans into executable assembly schedules.
- Coordinate with production teams to ensure capacity alignment and timely execution.
- Monitor and adjust schedules based on material availability, labor constraints, and priority changes.
- Inventory & Material Management
- Ensure optimal inventory levels to support assembly operations while minimizing excess.
- Work closely with procurement to manage component availability and lead times.
- Identify and resolve material shortages or delays impacting production.
- Cross-functional Collaboration
- Serve as the liaison between planning, procurement, manufacturing, and logistics.
- Participate in S&OP (Sales & Operations Planning) meetings and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support digitalization and automation efforts within the planning process.
- Reporting & Analytics
- Generate KPIs and dashboards to track forecast accuracy, schedule adherence, and inventory health.
- Provide insights and recommendations to improve planning efficiency and responsiveness.
You’ll win us over by having the following qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in demand planning, production planning, or supply chain roles.
- Experience with and ERP (PP/MM modules), SAP preferred Excel, and planning tools (e.g., APO, IBP).
- Experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment preferred.
- Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies is a plus.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship

The pay range for this position is $53,760 - $112,560 annually. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
