Siemens Government Technologies (SGT) is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead modernization and control system projects supporting U.S. Navy. This role requires balancing technical understanding with project management rigor, ensuring compliance with MIL-Spec, cybersecurity, and federal contracting requirements, while guiding teams toward successful execution.
You will act as the primary customer interface, aligning Navy stakeholders, Siemens engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers. Success in this role demands both strategic oversight and hands-on project leadership, ensuring delivery on time, on budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Responsibilities:
•Lead projects through the full project lifecycle using Siemens Delivery Framework and aligned Navy program milestones (PDR, CDR, TRR, PRR).
•Oversee design, fabrication, testing, and qualification of MIL-Spec compliant control panels, ensuring cybersecure and reliable systems.
•Work with Sales & Services Management to initiate, review and ensure ongoing project governance between the customer, partners and Siemens stakeholders.
•Manage customer requirements and project scope to achieve project objectives, effectively communicating project expectations to customers and stakeholders in a timely and concise fashion.
•Manage project schedules to ensure on time delivery.
•Manage cross-functional and multi-disciplinary teams, including Siemens’ sponsors, subcontractors, system engineers, and suppliers.
•Work with third-party contractors to ensure overall program execution and success, including site safety planning, material ordering coordination, and solution/system validation.
•Define and execute required processes in alignment with stakeholders including appropriate communication to all levels.
•Perform program quality management, ensuring that the solution meets the requirements and is to the appropriate quality and management compliance for industry or customer protocols, regulations, and standards.
•Perform project reviews and retrospectives regularly and present the results and lessons learned to the program and organization
•Drive the projects to meet the approved budget and agreed margin
•Conduct Stakeholder meetings to manage and guide stakeholders through systematic identification, analysis and plans of action to aid in delivery.
•Develop and maintain project artifacts such as status, risk, issues, opportunities (RIO), schedule or IMS, decision log, project management plan, safety plan, FMEA, CAP, or other artifacts as needed to support project rigor as required by customer, Siemens, or industry standards.
•Enforce change management at the project level to ensure the dependencies of the change are reflected and understood.
•Confidence in creating and presenting content to all levels of management, both internal and external. Lead difficult scope, cost, and resource conversations with customers.
•Manage contract acceptance and handover of projects to the customer.
•In conjunction with Program Management, identify, and create new opportunities and renewals for current projects/programs.
•Mentor and support the development of team members.
Required Qualifications:
•Bachelor’s degree in industrial, mechanical, and/or Manufacturing Engineering, Computer Science, Technology, or equivalent years (8+) of shipbuilding or industry experience.
•Minimum five years in managing complex technical projects focused on industrial automation, shipbuilding or other similar defense-related programs.
•Proven success managing multi-disciplinary teams (internal and subcontractors) across distributed locations.
•Proactive self-starter who can perform independently in high-pressure situations with little supervision.
•Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
•Excellent written and verbal communications with the ability to present complex issues to multi-level audiences of company and government executives.
Preferred Qualifications:
•Experience with MIL-Spec environments to include a understanding of Naval program milestones (CDR, TRR, SFR, shock, vibration, EMI, cybersecurity, etc.) and defense contracting.
•PMP Certification, with working knowledge of project management processes and tools, is highly preferred.
•Experience in identifying and implementing cost savings measures within services projects.
•Proven experience working with distributed, remote teams across multiple disciplines and time zones.
•Demonstrated experience operating within an industrial setting such as a plant, shop, building infrastructure, shipboard, or other industrial setting.
•Ability to promote complex solutions and drive acceptance with confidence.
•Ability to grow services presence within a customer operation through results and relationship-oriented leadership.
•Experience with US Federal Government projects, contracts, policies, and procedures.
•Focused on directing others in accountability, collaboration, effective communication, and have a strategic mindset that develops talent.
Travel:
•Willingness and ability to travel 25% in typical months with occasional increases to 50% in months with specific activities and milestones.

•Remote position within the continuous United Stated with travel as needed
Security Clearance:
•Candidate must be a United States Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Security Clearance

The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
