We invite you to join our dynamic Las Vegas, NV, team as a Junior Project Procurement Manager (Jr PPM) for sustainable high-speed rail projects and play a pivotal role in shaping America's infrastructure. You will drive cradle to grave supply chain management activities in collaboration with multi-functional teams to achieve outcomes that align with the overall project objectives while demonstrating impactful functional excellence, including contract execution, supplier schedule alignment, and project execution. It is also essential to be a detail oriented teammate as well as a strategic and analytical problem solver who is adept at managing capacity constraints, procurement challenges, and supplier development.
What your day-to-day will look like:
Contract Execution:
- Assist project procurement managers with tactical contract execution.
- Establish accountability with suppliers and champion local supplier development initiatives to meet quality, sustainability, and innovation specifications.
- Integrate customer requirements and innovative solutions from suppliers during bidding and project execution.
- Manage all supplier contracts throughout project execution to ensure compliance and mitigate risks.
Supplier Schedule Alignment:
- Collaborate with cross-functional team to identify and mitigate delivery risks for domestic and international shipments.
- Appropriately escalate supply chain risks through the proper channels to avoid impacts to the project.
- Maintain delivery schedules and hold suppliers accountable for delivering per contractual obligations.
Partner Management and Team Leadership:
- Identify and achieve cost-saving opportunities in project procurement to optimize budget impact, availability, and quality.
- Complete and monitor purchases, ensuring that the total cost of ownership is optimized for all goods, services, and equipment.
- Build relationships with suppliers, partners, and internal team members to achieve project and business objectives.
- Collaborate closely with local and offshore cross-functional teams to align on requirements, priorities, schedules, and technical solutions.
These responsibilities encompass strategic and operational aspects of procurement, risk management, supplier development, and partner engagement to achieve supply chain excellence and project success.
To thrive in this role, it's important to have:
- Desire to learn and grow in procurement in the evolving High Speed Rail business on large-scale infrastructure projects
- 0-5 years experience as a Procurement professional
- Degree in Engineering, Procurement, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
- Collaboration, negotiation, and interpersonal skills in engaging with US and European cross-functional partners.

The pay range for this position is $60,000 - $81,100 annually. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
