We are looking for System Engineer – HMI
You’ll make a difference by
As a System Engineer – HMI, you will be responsible design and developing software of HMI for our our innovative rail vehicles. Your task, and responsibilities are as follows:
- Ensure accurate, error-free, clear and real-time visualization on the driver's cab display system, meeting functional and safety requirements.
- The result of your work is high-quality display software whose interfaces to the train control or train control system function smoothly.
- Collect and structure system and customer requirements, develop solution concepts, and define software architectures in close collaboration with cross-functional engineering teams.
- You should be able to implement upgradation / new work of application software with end-to-end responsibility using V model approach.
- Define, generate, and integrate application data and parameters required to customize HMI functionality at the TMS subsystem level, in accordance with project specifications and design.
- Support the adaptation and configuration of HMI applications, with the goal of taking full responsibility/ownership of these processes in the medium term.
- Plan and perform software integration and system-level testing, verifying functionality in laboratory environments and directly on vehicles.
- Ensure reliable, high-quality display software with seamless integration to vehicle control systems and subsystems.
- Take full responsibility for implementing upgrades or new features in application software using a V-model-based development process, in compliance with EN 50657 / EN 50716.
- Create software test specifications, participate in code reviews, and support design verification activities.
- Contribute to the creation and maintenance of comprehensive technical documentation.
- Support system integration and validation testing activities during project execution and commissioning phases.
Desired Skills:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree with a focus on electrical engineering, electronics engineering, computer science/software engineering, electrical engineering, or similar.
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with object-oriented programming using C++, Qt, and QML.
- Experience with UI design for rail vehicles is a plus.
- Strong understanding and proven experience with requirement engineering.
- Familiarity with railway standards such as EN 50657 / EN 50716 is advantageous.
- Solid understanding of operating systems (especially Linux and Windows for Workgroups).
- Comfortable working with current operating systems and virtualization software (VMware, VirtualBox, Windows 11).
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Good understanding of standards such as IEC 50128, IEC 61131, IEC 61375 etc.
- Experience in working with MVB, Ethernet communication protocols ideally TRDP.

- Experience in working with MVB, and Ethernet communication protocols. Knowledge of TRDP will be an added advantage.
Work Environment:
- Hybrid work model available after an initial 6 months’ probation period.
- International project exposure
- Collaboration with global teams.
- Travel may be required (15-20%) depending upon requirement.
