You’ll make an impact by

  • Event Planning and Development: Conceptualize and plan events in accordance with objectives, including setting timelines, budgets, and expected deliverables.
  • Vendor and Venue Management: Select and manage relationships with vendors, negotiate contracts and ensure compliance with all event specifications. Oversee the selection and booking of venues, ensuring they meet all event requirements and standards.
  • Logistics Coordination: Coordinate logistics such as transportation, accommodation, and catering, addressing any issues that may arise during the event.
  • Client and Guest Relations: Maintain continuous communication with clients to ensure their requirements are met, and manage guest interactions before, during, and after the event.
  • Compliance and process: Ensure compliance with event planning and buying processes, achieving buying efficiencies through optimized processes.
  • Marketing and Promotion: Collaborate with the other teams to promote events and fairs, utilizing various channels to maximize attendance and visibility.
  • On-Site Management: Oversee on-site operations to ensure events run smoothly, including setup, teardown, and troubleshooting any issues that arise.
  • Post-Evaluation: Conduct debriefing sessions and provide reports on the event's success, including feedback from clients and attendees.

Your defining qualities

  • Business and Communication Knowledge: Understanding of corporate, business and communications strategy and plan and how content can support objectives.
  • Branding Knowledge: Familiarity with brand guidelines and the ability to maintain brand consistency.
  • Project Management: Proven ability to manage multiple events simultaneously, with a strong focus on detail and organization.
  • Project Leadership: Ability to lead and motivate project team, ensuring that all team members are aligned with event and fair goals. Strong problem-solving skills to address unexpected challenges during event planning and execution. Flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to liaise with various stakeholders effectively.
  • Creative Thinking: A creative approach to event and fair planning, with the ability to think outside the box and develop innovative concepts.
  • Budgeting and Financial Acumen: Experience in managing budgets, with the ability to make cost-effective decisions without compromising quality.
  • Marketing and Promotional Skills: Knowledge of marketing principles and the ability to promote events effectively.
  • Education and Experience: A bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Event Management, Marketing, or Communications, along with more than 5 years of experience in event planning and execution. Fluent in spoken and written English.
