Position Title: Team Lead
Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, 40 Hours/ Week
Summary of Duties: Coordinate the Team on the orders to get them released for production on time. Schedule the tasks to balance the load on the team. Collaborate with the other areas to get the orders ready as scheduled. Lead internal projects to improve our processes and tools working directly with other teams and business excellent teams. Lead training activities. Serve as a mentor and coach for developing new engineers. Provide direction as mechanical lead to a team of designers who will take the concepts and turn them into new or updated 3D models. Help improve our products by working collaboratively to identify design enhancements and nurturing those ideas through integration and deployment. Develop areas of subject matter expertise and serve as a technical authority for the team. This will include leadership and technical support during the quotation process. That may require engaging directly with designers to develop concepts and, at times, independently producing technical content. Work with the Factory Support and liaison team to diagnose and resolve engineering issues. Review of customer specifications and requirements while working with your engineering project team to ensure we deliver a complete and optimal product. Take overall mechanical ownership of the project bills of materials including developing new assemblies, validating functionality, and releasing the part/assemblies to production. Hybrid work permitted.
Qualifications: The position requires a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or related field and three (3) years in the job offered or an acceptable alternate occupation. Position requires experience with the following: Three years of experience in a technical engineering role, with at least two years working with medium voltage power distribution equipment. Experience working with 3D design environment; Proficient with Autocad; Demonstratable proficiency working with SAP or similar MRP/ERP systems; Demonstratable proficiency working with complex engineering BoMs “Bill of Materials”.
