Position Overview
Siemens Industry, Inc. is looking for a detail-oriented individual to perform specification engineering tasks related to medium voltage control gear (MVC 81000), low voltage replacement circuit breakers, and medium voltage switchgear. This position reports into the Siemens Smart Infrastructure Electrical Services business. The candidate will also act as engineering lead on projects, supporting electrical drafters in creating wiring diagrams, tube marker files, and label drawings. With large projects, on-site support for the factory will be required to ensure that orders are built to specification.
We are looking for a Retrofit Engineer. This position will be based in Wendell, NC.
Responsibilities
Daily job functions would include the following:
- Interfacing with customers/application engineers/project managers to gather appropriate details to execute projects
- Creating approval drawing packages for MV control gear and switchgear
- Specifying custom mechanical BOMs for multiple product lines
- Various reporting needs related to the job function – SalesForce experience is a plus
- Activating and releasing sales order BOMs in SAP for production
You’ll win us over by having the following qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering
- 4+ years of experience in a technical role related to the subject matter
- Experience with AutoCAD or similar Designing tool.
- Experience with SAP or similar MRP/ERP systems and complex engineering Bill of Materials.
- Travel less than 10% for local candidates. Additional travel may be required for remote candidates.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with retrofit engineering
- Experience troubleshooting mechanical systems.

The pay range for this position is $67,480 - $115,680 annually. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
